Plum Green Tea Sunscreen SPF 35 and PA+++ Review
Plum, or Plum Goodness, recently launched sunscreen, Plum Green Tea Sunscreen SPF-35, and PA+++, under their Green Tea Range which is honestly one of my favorite ranges. Their Green Tea Toner and Mask is my personal favorite and I have restocked their toner multiple times.

Sunscreen or Sunblock is an integral part of a skincare routine. It not only protects from tan or burn but also delays aging and prevents skin allergies that might happen due to extreme sun exposure.
Being said that, it is important to opt for a sunscreen that suits your skin type. There are multiple variants available in the market specially curated for dry, oily, sensitive, or acne-prone skin.
The problem arrives when you are a sensitive and acne-prone skin person. For a sensitive skin person, it is an extremely tough job to find the right product for their skin. Products being marketed as suitable for acne-prone skin can still cause breakouts to sensitive skin because you never know what ingredient starts giving negative results.
I have been putting this sunscreen to use from a long time now and I all set to share my views on the same.

Review – Plum Green Tea Sunscreen
My Skin Type – Sensitive, Oily, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging- It comes in a squeezable tube in a carton with a flip-flop cap having a nozzle to control the flow of the product. What I don’t like is not all the information is on the tube such as price, ingredients, and Mfg Date so in case you throw out the carton (like I did!), you are left with half the information.
Fragrance- It has the exact fragrance which their Green Products has especially their moisturizer. I like it and I don’t find it heavy or bothersome.
My Experience
Before I begin with my experience, let me share that from the past few years, sunscreen has stopped working for me. I used to apply sunscreen during my teenage but later, no matter what sunscreen I opt for, I was getting pimples.

Not only sunscreen but there are also Ingredients as well which stopped working for me as I grew old. And one such ingredient is rose water. I don’t know hows this happens but every time I used rose water on my skin, I got pimples.
When Plum launched their sunscreen, I was excited, and afraid both because first, it is from the range which works really well for me but on the other hand, I was confused because no sunscreen was working for me.
Because I was still looking for a sunscreen suitable for sensitive skin, to give the last chance to see if it works for me or not, I decided to go for the Plum Sunscreen.
I started using it and the first thing I noticed was the texture. It has a really light and gel-creme-like texture which was easy to apply and massage on the skin. I didn’t find the consistency heavy or tough to work with. Post applying, I didn’t find any stickiness or shine on the face.
I also noticed that it has moisturizing properties. With this sunscreen, I wasn’t really feeling the need to apply any extra layer of moisturizer. This sunscreen alone worked as a moisturizer.
A few hours later, I noticed that my skin is looking dull, sticky, and shiny and I had to wash my face. I wasn’t really sure if it is the sunscreen because it is 50 degrees here in Delhi, India, and summers mean sweat and humidity all the time. You literally feel like you are melting and on top of that if you are an oily skin person…uff!
I continued using and I regularly faced a similar issue. My face was getting dull and sticky within a few hours of applying this sunscreen.
Next, what I was really worried about, happened! I got pimples. Because I knew sunscreen was not working for me, I thought to stop using this for a while to see if my skin gets better and yes, my skin got back to normal. Again, sunscreen didn’t work for me.
This put me in a lot of research and after a lot of Googling, I got to know that yes, there are skin types for whom sunscreen doesn’t work no matter what brand or what type it is. There are a few of my relatives which even mentioned that their skin doctor has literally said them not to use sunscreen as it was giving breakouts and rashes. Then I realized that I am one of them and I should stop looking for sunscreen now.
So’ I will say, the product here is not faulty because I have seen other people liking it. It is my skin that is not accepting sunscreen anymore.
If you have been using sunscreens and they work great for you and you are looking for a change or simply a lightweight version, then this is for you.
If sunscreen doesn’t work for you –
If you are someone like me who is tired of trying sunscreens and gets pimples every time, there are chances your skin is not meant to accept SPF. In this case, I will suggest you include vitamin-c serum in your skincare routine to repair your skin every night.
