Lakme Vitamin C Serum Review
Lakme Vitamin C Serum Review – You won’t believe it but I actually got Lakme Vitamin C Serum because my Mother received a coupon code for Lakme in her GPay account. I wasn’t trusting Lakme for serums for some reason but my Mother really wanted to use her code and try a bunch of new Lakme stuff. I added Lakme serum to avail the discount and surprisingly, it became one of my best decisions.

The Lakme 9 to 5 Vitamin C Serum impressed me so much that I am now planning to get myself a full-sized version. I have been using this serum for a while now and I am all set to share my experience.
Quick Overview (Review in a Glance)
5/5
I really like how the serum played on my skin. Lightweight and no stickiness. Added a noticeable glow with a visible brightness. I did not experience any breakouts. Worked great for my sensitive and acne-prone skin. 😌

My Experience with Lakme Vitamin C Serum
My Skin Type: Sensitive and acne-prone skin. Dry to due history of eczema.
Packaging: It comes in an orange color-themed see-through glass bottle with a dropper cap which makes it easy to use, store, and travel with the product. The dropper works well and doesn’t cause any mess while using it.

Fragrance: It has a super refreshing citrus fragrance. It’s not something that will sting in your nose but it actually feels good while applying.
Just at this moment, I am realising how much I love reviewing products. I feel like this is my platform and reviews are my medium where I express myself. For months I have been trying to curate articles apart from reviews that include haircare or everyday health but nothing beats Google when they come up with their major updates. I mean you spend hours researching the topics and keywords and get nothing.

Reviews on the other hand feel so personal that I feel like I am in my element. I should definitely invest more in product reviews. I mean reviews are the reason my blog exists.
Serum got a hazy look
Coming back to my experience with Lakme Vitamin C Serum. I started using the serum day and night after my face wash. The first thing I noticed was the difference in texture and look when compared to Nykaa Vitamin C serum because that was the only serum I trusted and restocked back.
Lakme Vitamin C serum has a hazy look while Nykaa Vitamin C serum is more transparent and runny in nature.
Not at all sticky or heavy
I poured a few drops of Lakme vitamin C serum directly onto my cheeks and started tapping gently. The serum was immediately absorbed by my skin and was super easy to massage as well. The texture didn’t feel tacky or sticky like Prolixr one once did.

The serum felt lightweight and was quickly absorbed leaving my skin soft and supple. Honestly, it started showing results way too soon than I had expected. Within days, my skin was noticeably brighter and smooth. I pair it up with my Cetaphil moisturizer and sometimes with Neutrogena Cream and performs well each time.
After regular usage, my skin definitely looked clear. I feel it worked on the minor spots that were not visible to me but when the serum did its job, I started noticing the clarity with a brighter complexion.
Made my skin super soft
My skin felt soft to the touch and noticeable supple. I think it is even better than Nykaa Serum. That was a complete 10 in my eyes but after using the Lakme Vitamin C serum, I feel it is even better than that.
No breakouts
I didn’t get any reactions or breakouts and it performed really well for my sensitive skin. Most of the time people ask me what Vitamin C serum is best to treat hyper-pigmentation or dark spots and my answer is always that it isn’t meant to treat your particular targeted concerns.
It is there to prevent your skin from premature aging and help your skin deal with daily damage. Our skin goes through so much due to daily exposure to dust and sweat and Vitamin C serum helps you deal with that.

Consider using serums like Hyaluronic Acid for dryness, Salicylic Acid for clogged pores and acne, and Alpha-arbutin for hyper-pigmentation and marks. Years before I loved using Minimalist but over the years it had gone so bad that it started resulting in allergies.

On the other hand, brands like The Ordinary offer such reputable and trustable products but not all of their products worked for me. I used their Niacinamide to treat blemishes and redness but it somehow triggered my skin causing intense burning sensation and making redness even worse. So it is all about knowing what works for you the best.
I used to love The Ordinary Peeling solution but ever since eczema happened, my skin became so different even after healing. It reacts so differently to all the products that I loved before. I have stopped using masks and peeling solutions. My drawers are now filled with rich moisturizers and hydrating products.
For exfoliation, I use Bioderma Pigmentbio but nothing more than that. My aim is to keep my skin hydrated as much as possible.
I am so impressed by how Lakme Vitamin C serum has worked for me. I should really give new products a try. I used to love experimenting with new products but ever since eczema and allergies happened, I have become so paranoid.
Summing Up
Lakme Vitamin C Serum worked great for my sensitive skin. It resulted in soft and supple skin within a few days of usage with a visibly brighter complexion. The texture is lightweight and doesn’t feel sticky after application. Works well when paired with different moisturizers. Definitely recommended.
