Simple Face Wash on Dry vs Oily Skin

I first tried Simple refreshing face wash when I had oily skin. At that very time, It felt way too mild for me and I did not enjoy using it. Later, after years when I developed allergies and my skin became all dry and dehydrated, Simple face wash is the one that saved my skin. Its sensitive skin formula helped heal the dryness and sort of repaired my skin.

My skin after swinging from oily to dehydrated and then back to oily, faced a lot of skin concerns. Now that my allergies have healed over the course of years and feel more oily than they used to feel back in the day, I still consider Simple face wash a part of my routine. I don’t use it day and night as I now use Neutrogena Acne wash but use the refreshing Simple face wash on alternate days to maintain skin health.

I always had a great experience with Simple products. They are best suited for sensitive and acne-prone skin and don’t contain any ingredients that would irritate compromised skin.

Ever since I developed allergies I have been using mild and gentle cleansers.

I tried Simple Refreshing face wash back in 2020 when I had oily skin and I have tried it again now when have dryness.

How to Use

• Wet your face with warm water, squeeze the amount into your hands, and work into a lather.

My Review of Simple Refreshing Face Wash

My Skin Type: Sensitive and acne-prone skin. Dryness and flaky skin due to allergies.

I have been an oily skin person all my life but recently, in my late 20s, I started developing allergies which ended in eczema flare-ups. As a result, I now have dehydrated skin with redness and rashes.

Back in the day, I used to love strong foaming cleansers but now I am all about mild and gentle cleansers.

I start by squeezing out a coin-sized amount and notice that it has a completely transparent runny-like texture.

It lathers a bit but also feels soft while cleansing. My dry skin feels so soothed and calm at that very moment.

I give about two to three minutes before I wash it off. While washing off it leaves that slippery layer behind which feels a little uncomfortable in the starting but eventually, my mind accepted it.

Back when I tried it in 2020, I did not enjoy this slippery feeling at all with my oily skin.

Does not irritate my dehydrated skin

It’s funny how I used to look down at mild cleansers and now I am grateful for them. After washing my face with Simple Refreshing face wash, I am left with clean, fresh, soft, and supple skin. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all nor make my skin any dry further.

I love how it leaves my skin brighter and softer every time I wash my face with it. Simple face wash is not targeted to treat acne but it works so good on my acne-prone skin as it doesn’t irritate them further.

Being someone with dryness as a skin condition, my skin legit feels soothed after washing with Simple refreshing face wash. I follow up with a moisturizer and I do not feel any stretchiness or irritation.

Skin felt soft and hydrated over time

With regular usage, I could feel my skin becoming soft to the touch. It started to appear healthy, hydrated, and glowy.

Being free of ingredients that might irritate sensitive skin, it doesn’t give any breakouts or reactions and suits my sensitive and acne-prone skin. But it won’t be ideal for people with oily skin, especially during summer.
