If you have ever tried simple skincare products, then you would know how beautifully simple products work, simple yet effective. Recently, I received Simple Refreshing Face Wash as a part of PR from Nykaa and I am all set to share my reviews for the same.

There are a lot of my favorites from the brand Simple, such as Simple Rich Moisturizer, Simple Light Moisturizer, Simple Micellar Water, and even Simple Micellar Wipes.

Simple products are free from all kinds of harsh chemicals and curated keeping in mind the sensitive skin and being a sensitive and acne-prone skin girl. Simple Products are really close to my heart.

How to Use

• Wet your face with warm water, squeeze the amount into your hands, and work into a lather.
• Massage gently in a circular motion onto wet skin.

Review – Simple Refreshing Face Wash Gel

My Skin Type: Combination in Summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive and Acne-Prone Skin

Packaging: It comes with a giant size squeezable tube with a pleasant calming green-colored tube having all the details on it. It has a flip-flop cap having a nozzle inside to dispense off the product.

Fragrance: No fragrance as such.

My Experience…

I start by squeezing out a coin-sized amount and notice that it has a completely transparent runny-like texture.

Next, I start applying and massaging the gel face wash onto my face and I could feel the jelly-like consistency which, to be honest, I really don’t like. I never find that jelly-like feeling appealing with my cleansers.

I mean, I have tried a lot of gel-based cleansers but they don’t really feel that jelly-like while massaging on the face. But with this, I could feel that while massaging it onto my face. Maybe I am more habitual to the feel of those foaming cleansers.

It forms a slight amount of lather. While washing off, there was again that jelly-like slippery feel which isn’t the best for my liking during summers. It is great for winters and in the dry season but I know during summers and humid seasons, I would never ever find this satisfying.

Ideally, we should we sticking to gentle cleansers only as they help in maintaining the pH balance of the skin but the day hot and humid climate hit, I am like give me those foaming cleansers.

Coming to the cleansing properties, Simple Refreshing Face Wash no doubt cleanses the skin well giving it a fresh and clean feel. It doesn’t leave the skin dry and stretchy. After completely washing off, it leaves skin soft with a mild layer of moisture behind which is again, great for winters but my oily skin won’t prefer this during the humid season.

If you are someone who won’t mind the jelly-like feel it gives while washing off, then you are going to like it. But, if you are like me who doesn’t prefer too mild cleansers or that slippery layer some cleansers leave behind, then you might not prefer this one during summer.

With regular usage, I could feel my skin becoming soft to the touch. It started to appear healthy, hydrated, and glowy.

It isn’t a strong or deep purifying foaming cleanser. If you too prefer foaming cleansers during these sweaty and humid days then you are going to love The Face Shop Jeju Cleanser and it is still my favorite.

Being free from harsh chemicals, it doesn’t give any breakouts or reactions and suits my sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is just, that it is way too mild for my liking during humid days.

If you are someone who loves mild gel-based cleansers, then Simple Refreshing Facial Wash is for you. But if you are someone like me, who likes slightly strong and deep purifying cleansers during summers that leave skin squeaky clean, then this might not impress you at first but your skin is going to love it and it will be a great choice for winters.

Conclusion

Simple Refreshing Face Wash Gel is an extremely mild and gentle everyday cleanser with a runny gel-like consistency. It does cleanse well leaving the skin fresh and clean but it does give a jelly-like feeling while lathering and washing off. With regular usage, skin becomes soft and starts to appear healthy, and glowy. Being free from harsh chemicals, it suits my sensitive and acne-prone skin.
