Review – MCaffeine Face Wash

My Skin Type: Combination to Oily in Summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin

Packaging: It comes in a squeezable opaque tube with a flip-flop cap with details like price, ingredients, mentioned on it. Easy to store and mess-free.

Fragrance: Can you expect something to not to smell like coffee when it literally says “coffee“?

This MCaffeine COFFEE Face Wash doesn’t smell like coffee a bit. No sign of coffee at all. It smells like some artificial perfume or cheap candy. And Coffee is their main ingredient. The whole brand actually is dependent on it.

I was so excited to have a coffee fragrance in my skincare products but the moment I smelled it, I was like “this is coffee face wash?“.

My Experience

As I shared above, I received a sample-sized face wash and a face mask along with my combo of face wash and serum, I decided to start with the tiny tube of face wash first and then move to the bigger, full-sized one.

It has a thick gel-like texture and consistency and is brownish-orange in color. I took a coin-sized amount and it formed a good amount of lather. I was expecting it to be sticky and jelly type because of the consistency but to my surprise, it actually cleansed well without leaving any soapy layer behind. There was no sign of stickiness behind.

It left my face clean and oil-free and I was happy with the first impressions. I used it daily, day and night, followed by my Aveeno Moisturizer.

Pretty soon, after a week or so, I finished the tiny tube and moved to the full-sized tube. The day I started with the full-sized tube, things started to go down the hill.

My skin started to look different, and not in a good way. I could tell that something isn’t right. The texture of my skin, the way my skin looked, it didn’t felt right. Because I was using the MCaffeine Face Wash for over a week now, I didn’t think of it as the culprit.

I started to develop tiny red pimples and clogged pores. Things were not getting any better. The more I used the face wash, the more pimples I was getting.

I had no other option but to leave the face wash to see if my skin gets better because I was sure about my other skincare products and diet.

I immediately switched to Neutrogena Face Wash and things started to look better. There were no more breakouts and my skin started to heal. I realized it was the MCaffeine Coffee Face Wash that was giving me breakouts.

You might be wondering what about the MCaffeine Coffee Serum? Don’t worry, I am going to dedicate a full blog post about that serum on how it wasted my money and ruined my skin.

All I could think of, why there are so many positive and hyped up reviews about the MCaffeine Products when all they did was gave birth to new pimples.

Spending my money on MCaffeine Products was the worst decision. Sometimes its the fragrance, sometimes its the packaging, everything is so cheap and I am not even considering the factor that they broke my skin out. Who adds ton loads of artificial fragrance and call it a Coffee Face Wash?

The day I was thinking why the Brands like MCaffeine or Mamaearth are filled with positive reviews when they don’t even meet the standards, Shreya Jain came up with the video, expressing exactly similar thoughts on over-marketing and hyped reviews for these brands.

I tried to look if at least some people on Internet shared their honest experience and I bumped into Amazon reviews and there it was, honest reviews one after another. They all shared the same thought of cheap fragrance and breakouts for MCaffeine Products.

If you have sensitive and acne-prone skin, do not consider MCaffeine at all. Or even if you have normal skin, their products aren’t worth spending your money on.

Conclusion

MCaffeine Coffee Face Wash didn’t work for me at all. It smells like an artificial cheap perfume and led to breakouts. Initially, it gave a good first impression but the more I used it, the weirder my skin looked. MCaffeine face wash and coffee serum wasted my money.
