Review – Nykaa SkinRx Face Serums

My Skin Type: I used to have oily skin in Summer and Dry in Winter but ever since my Eczema came back, my skin remains dry throughout the year. Sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Packaging: Comes in a glass kind of bottle with a dropper lid, color-themed with ingredients, price, and expiry mentioned on the bottle. They further come in an outer box which as usual, I no longer have. I even carried some of these serums on my trips and they are completely safe to travel with.

My Experience

I have been using these serums for a long time now. Initially, I thought of doing individual reviews on them but over time, I made up my mind to do an article on a complete range. I am glad I took the time because meanwhile I got to try Minimalist and The Ordinary and now I have this clear picture of best-suiting serums for my skin.

Nykaa launched these serums when Minimalist just entered the market, The Ordinary was about to enter and there was this wave of face serums where every other brand was introducing their Vitamin C or Niacinamide serum.

I started by incorporating Vitamin C and Niacinamide then slowly took it to Retinol and Multi-Peptide. Because I had this wide range of serums with me to try and for obvious reasons, I couldn’t try them at all at once, I kept switching the serums in my skincare routine for months.

I start by taking a few drops onto my palm and then gently dabbing them on my clean skin before I follow up with my moisturizer and sunscreen. I made sure to do all the necessary research on what serums can be paired together. On the days I had Vitamin C serum on my face, I didn’t use any other for the whole day. On other days when I had Hyaluronic on, I used Salicylic Acid or Retinol at night.

My Favourites

  • Deep Nourish 2% ceramide complex
  • Illuminate+ 20% Vitamin C
  • Wrinkle Repair 2% Advanced Retinol
  • 9 in 1 2% Multi-Peptide Complex

Even though the complete SkinRx range of serums won my heart and each of them did an excellent job, there were few that helped my skin a lot.

Nykaa SkinRx Ceramide Deep Nourish was one of my most face serums followed by 20% Vitamin C and 2% Advanced Retinol. These three just won my heart and gave me noticeable results.

Deep Nourish is one of the most beautiful hydrating serums I have ever tried. It gives my skin a blast of nourishment and my skin legit looked plumped, supple, and hydrated. This serum helped me so much on the winter days and every time I had dryness due to eczema flare-ups. This might not be the best choice for oily skin people but if you have a slight bit of dryness and or dehydrated skin, Nykaa SkinRx deep nourish serum is the one for you.

On the other hand, Nykaa Retinol is the most comfortable retinol I ever came across. Retinol has a tendency to react to skin a little which is I ended up having rashes, peeling off skin, and flaky skin when I tried The Ordinary Retinol but with Nykaa Retinol, I didn’t experience any such issue. The results are a bit slower and work on a milder scale but works best for sensitive skin like mine. I and my mother both loved the Nykaa SkinRx Retinol and how it made a noticeable difference. I myself noticed the mature skin of my mother improving and looking finer after 2-3 months of regular usage.

Talking about their Vitamin C serum, I have tried so many Vitamin C serums but this won my heart on another level. There were serums that I previously loved such as Recast but changed their formulations later or there are serums that are way too costly. Nykaa 20% vitamin C was one of the best Vitamin C serums for my sensitive skin that actually gave visible results. I noticed how radiant my skin looked when I regularly used Nykaa Vitamin C Serums.

Nykaa SkinRx Multi-Peptide serum feels like a complete package. While I was using it, I noticed my skin started to look clear and firmer. The spots looked like they were faded and my face looked a lot more finer. I loved using this one before my moisturizer. One drop on each side of my face and it gets absorbed within seconds.

What I love about these Nykaa Skinrx serums is that none of them felt sticky or heavy and each one of them carries a lightweight texture and gets easily absorbed without causing any breakouts.

With all the other serums such as Salicylic Acid, Skin Renew, or even Niacinamide, I realized they work on a milder scale rather than targeting the issue in a few weeks. Nykaa Salicylic Acid didn’t heal my acne when used as a spot treatment, rather kept my skin free from clogging up when used regularly. For acne, I stick to Neutrogena cleanser, drying lotion, or an acne patch.

Talking about the Nykaa Hyaluronic Acid Serum, it has the kind of texture that I like when it comes to Hyaluronic Acid. It immediately relieves dryness and provides an instant boost of nourishment. It helps so much with the season dryness. Making it a part of my skincare routine definitely brings in a visible difference.

I feel every skin has its own requirements which is why Deep Nourish and Vitamin C delivered the most result for me while for my mother, it was the retinol. Someone who faces constant clogging up of pores might get the most benefit from AHA serum and salicylic acid.

Overall, I feel Nykaa SkinRx serums are the finest serums I tried. They sure work on a milder scale but deliver results rather than acting up fast and coming up with side effects and reactions. I didn’t face a single reaction or breakout from Nykaa Serums. If you are starting with the serums or simply wondering which Brand to go for especially if you have sensitive skin like mine, go buy Nykaa SkinRx and you will love it.

They do take 2-3 months for a visible difference but is a great option for sensitive skin like mine. Nykaa further launched SkinRx moisturizers and face creams which I have yet to give a try.

Final Thoughts

Nykaa SkinRx serums won my heart by being mild and delivering slow and steady results rather than acting up fast and leaving my skin with side effects. I noticed visible results with the Nykaa serums and didn’t face a single reaction. From packaging to texture, everything worked in my favor. These serums didn’t irritate my sensitive skin neither triggered my eczema and delivered noticeable results. My skin noticeably looked radiant, supple, and hydrated.

This was it for today. I hope you have found my review on Nykaa SkinRx serums helpful. Got any questions? Let me know in the comments below or simply connect with me on my social media.
