Neude Skincare Review – Moisturizer, Sunscreen, and Eye Cream

Neude Skincare Products Review

Neude Skincare Review โ€“ In this article, I will be sharing my complete experience with Neude Butter Mousse Moisturiser, Neude Sunstoppable Sunscreen SPF 45+++, and Neude Eye Cream. I have been using these products for some time now on my sensitive and acne-prone skin. If you have been looking for Neude skincare product reviews, you are on the right page.

Every time I scrolled my Instagram, this ad from Neude Skincare used to pop up on my feed and for some reason, the Brand did look positive and promising to me.

I ignored the ad for months because my skin is so sensitive and even the recent Brands I tried like Foxtale and Hyphen gave me breakouts so I did not exactly jump to the conclusion to try out Neude Skincare in one go.

One day when I was exploring new options for sunscreen, this ad again popped up from Neude Skincare featuring their Sunstopabble SPF45 PA+++ sunscreen and I decided to dig a little deeper.

My Personal Favourites

Niharika X Nykaa

Resulted in Clogged Pores and Acne

Both Neude Moisturizer and Neude Sunscreen resulted in breakouts. The texture is great for dry skin only and not for oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. Feels on the heavier side in humid season. Neude Eye Cream is nourishing but didnโ€™t do anything for dark circles. I purchased them for Rs.1399/- for 3 Products.

I scrolled through website, and Amazon reviews, positive, negative, and recent, and basically went whole detective on it and finally decided to go for it.

The Brand was having a sale offering 3 for Rs.1399/- or something and for me, it was the right time to try out the Brand. Among the various products, the first was obviously sunscreen. The second product was Butter Mousse Moisturiser, and the third was their eye cream.

I will be talking about why I decided to go for this particular moisturizer and how their products worked for my dehydrated, sensitive, sweaty, and acne-prone skin.

About Neude Skincare

Available at Nykaa and neudeskin.com.

Neude skincare claims to revolve around the benefits of milk. Their products contain milk as the main ingredient and this is their USP. Their products are further sulphate, paraben, and cruelty-free.

Before I move further, let me share more about my skin type. I have dehydrated, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. I used to have oily skin but I developed allergies in my late 20s and the medications further made my skin dry. Due to flare-ups and constant exposure to triggers, I do have active dryness. My skin can get easily red, pores can get clogged, and develop acne.

Neude Skincare Moisturizer Bottle

Price: Rs.749/- for 50ml

Packaging

First thing first, the packaging. How cute and convenient. The size of the bottle is handy and the pump packaging makes it further easy to use. The pump works great causing no trouble and it is further secured with a cap.

Neude Skincare Butter Mousse Ingredients

Rose water, Candelilla wax, Kokum butter, Cetearyl alcohol, Xanthum gum, Clarified butter, Glycerine, Glycerol monostearate, Organic almond oil, Sodium gluconate, Phenoxyethanol, DM DM hydantoin, Vitamin E, Perfume.

Fragrance

Coming to fragrance, it does have a beautiful scent. Sometimes I do find it on the heavier side as it gives a hint of kinds of butter but overall, I love it. That being said, the ingredient list does mention perfume which made me wonder if it is even suitable for sensitive skin.

My Experience with Neude Moisturizer

The reason I went with Butter Mousse Weightless Moisturizer rather than their other variant is that my skin feels dry with products meant for oily-acne-prone skin while products that are meant for way too dry skin, results in heaviness.

I do not have dryness as a skin type. I have dryness as an outcome of allergies and as a result, I have dehydrated skin. My moisturizer needs to intensely moisturize my skin while being safe for my acne-prone skin.

Now that I have shared why I picked up the Butter Mousse variant, let us move to my experience with the product.

I started using the moisturizer day and night as the final step of my skincare routine. During the daytime, I further paired it with Neude sunscreen.

The pump dispenses a tiny amount so I had to use about 3 pumps for my skin. I found the texture super soft and lightweight. As the name suggests, it felt like whipped mousse when I was applying and massaging it on my skin.

Neude Butter Mousse Moisturizer Texture

It did not leave any stickiness or heaviness behind. On some days I did feel my face become sweaty due to the extremely hot weather but it did not result in greasiness.

I used the moisturizer for days and I realized that it definitely made my skin a lot more nourished. The requirement was even further reduced to two and one pump. My skin genuinely felt soft and supple to the touch.

Not moisturizing enough for extra dry skin

On some days when my skin was feeling extra dry, I did feel like this moisturizer was not enough so I went with my Cetaphil but on regular days, my skin definitely looked and felt soft and nourished with this moisturizer.

I feel like the Neude Moisturizer is ideal for normal to dry skin only and not for super dry or oily skin.

But the story doesnโ€™t end hereโ€ฆRead till I talk about whether it resulted in Breakouts or not! Before that, let me talk about Neude Sunscreen.

Review โ€“ Neude Sunstoppable Sunscreen SPF45 PA+++

Neude Skincare Sunscreen Tube

Price: Rs.599/- for 100gm

Packaging of the sunscreen

Sunscreens that come with this pointed kind of nozzle packaging are my favorites. It helps me to squeeze out the sunscreen on my two fingers to follow the 2-finger rule. The tube is sleek and comes with a screw cap which I found easy to store and travel with.

Neude Sunscreen Ingredients

DM water, Emulsifying wax, Xanthan gum, Glycerine, Benzophenone 3, Avobenzone, Milk powder, Organic almond oil, Sodium gluconate, Arlacel 165, Avocado oil, Satr 10, Camphor sulfonic acid, Glycerol monostearate, Zinc oxide, Octyl methoxycinnamate, Phenoxyethanol, DM DM hydantoin, Carrot Ext., Perfume, Sandalwood Ext., Iron oxide yellow.

Contains both mineral filters (zinc oxide) as well as chemical filters (avobenzone).

Fragrance of the sunscreen: It has a mild milk-y and baby product kind of scent. It was not at all triggering and was only noticeable when I sniffed the product.

My Experience with the Neude Sunscreen

During the day time, after I am done with Neude Butter Mousse Moisturizer, I take the 2-finger amount of the Neude unstoppable sunscreen and spread it evenly across the face.

I found the texture soft and creamy. It was super easy to massage and was absorbed without leaving a white cast or stickiness. My face did not feel heavy or sweaty post-application.

Neude Unstoppable Sunscreen Texture

The consistency is not on the heavier side, it is definitely lightweight and comfortable on the skin but I still feel it wonโ€™t be best suited for people with oily skin.

With the regular usage, I did not notice my skin becoming red or developing any heat rashes so the sunscreen was definitely effective on my skin.

The brand claims that this sunscreen has moisturizing properties but with my skin type, this was not enough when used alone. For normal skin type, maybe! But if you have dryness like me, you will have to pair it up with a moisturizer.

What about Breakouts?

Days passed by and I did not notice any acne or anything until one day, I noticed my face was full of milia, and a few days later, my face was full of red, painful pimples.

I was not exactly sure if Neude butter mousse moisturizer or the Neude sunscreen was the culprit as I also had mangoes plus it was 49c degrees.

I started developing big acne on my chin, cheeks, sideburns, and also on my forehead.

My acne condition seemed to settle down after I stopped consuming mangoes and started using an ice-roller but my face was still full of clogged pores. I still couldnโ€™t figure out if it was the moisturizer, sunscreen, or just hot weather.

I stopped using the products completely and to my surprise, I did not develop any new acne but my pores were still clogged.

After a week or so I decided to jump back to Neude Moisturizer and sunscreen and I did notice a few bumps popped out. I thought maybe using them together ainโ€™t working out for me as both of them contain oils and the moisturizer even contains ghee.

Perhaps it was too much for my sweaty and acne-prone skin.

Neude Skincare Moisturizer resulting in breakouts

I used the Neude Moisturizer and sunscreen separately and I still notice my skin developing tiny little clogged pores and even a new pimple popped out.

I figured out it was the Neude Butter Mousse Moisturizer that was resulting in acne. Donโ€™t know if it was the added fragrance or the ingredients did not do well for my acne-prone skin but my skin started getting clear once I stopped using the moisturizer.

Neude Butter Mousse Moisturizer is a good option for people with normal to dry skin but if you have dehydrated, extra dry, and acne-prone skin, this is not for you.

And the sunscreen resulted in clogged pores

Now If I talk about Sunscreen, it did not result in painful acne but did end up clogging up the pores probably because of chemical filters present in the sunscreen. This made me realize that Neude Sunstopabble Sunscreen is not ideal for acne-prone skin, especially during the humid season.

I donโ€™t know if it was the presence of oils especially almond oil that my skin did not accept the products or if it was not the right fit for sensitive skin but even after giving decent results in terms of hydration, the Neude skincare products did end up causing breakouts.

If you have acne-prone skin and your skin tends to get clogged easily it is better to skip Neude moisturizer and sunscreen but if you do not have any such issue then you are really going to adore the products.

Now let us move on to the final review, i.e., Neude Eye Cream.

Neude Eye Cream Jar

Price: Rs.549/- for 10ml

Packaging: It comes in a tiny little jar with a screw cap. It is easy to store, use, and travel with.

Ingredients

DM water, Emulsifying wax,. Aloe vera, Arlacel 165, Milk powder, Almond oil, Sodium gluconate, Cetearyl alcohol, Coffee filtrate, Olive oil, Phenoxyethanol, Vitamin E, Iron oxide yellow, Perfume.

Neude Eye Cream Ingredients

Fragrance of the Eye Cream

It does have a typical perfume-like scent. I do not feel it much when I am applying but when I sniff it, it smells like a perfume bottle.

My Experience with Neude Eye Cream

I stopped using Eye Creams years back. I figured out this is not the solution for dark circles. It is a lifestyle thing and can only be treated by diet and sleeping routine.

After years, it just felt like I should give it a go. I was choosing 3 products in the offer and I just went for it.

I started using the eye cream day and night by gently dotting the eye cream with my ring finger under my eyes and massage in soft motions.

Neude Eye Cream Texture

It immediately made the skin under my eyes extremely soft. As if it added a layer on the skin. The under-eye area felt so soft and smooth to the touch.

It did not sting my eyes and there was no sign of redness or watery eyes. It did not make my under-eye area sweaty at first but as the season got humid, I started experiencing sweat under my eyes.

Probably not best for summer if you are planning to wear it under makeup or before stepping out. Rather go for a gel-based eye serum.

I kept using the eye cream on a regular basis and as much as I loved using the cream due to its nourishing texture, I did not notice anything in terms of reducing the darkness.

I liked having Neude Eye Cream as part of my skincare routine and it definitely added nourishment to the delicate eye area but it did not do anything for the dark circles.

For some reason, I was not disappointed as I was 99% sure that an eye cream is not going to handle dark circles. It was an added bonus for me under Neude Skincare Sale and it does offer hydration but I do not use it to treat my dark circles.

Neude Skincare Review: Final Thoughts

Neude Skincare products especially Butter Mousse Moisturizer and Sunstoppable sunscreen were no doubt hydrating for my dry skin. They did not feel heavy on the skin and resulted in noticeable soft and supple skin but, the ingredients seem to be not working for acne-prone skin as I did face clogging up of pores leading to acne. The humid and hot weather did add up to the condition. The products are not ideal for extremely dry, oily, and acne-prone skin. Both moisturizer and sunscreen are ideal for normal skin, not sensitive skin. Eye cream did nourish the area but did not do anything for dark circles.

  1. THANKS for your detailed review on Neude skincare products, the ad keeps popping up on my Instagram feed, and I wanted to try, but after seeing your review, I decided not to buy those, as my skin is highly sensitive, acne prone, and extremely dry and dehydrated.
