Efatop Next Lotion Intense Moisturizer Review

This Efatop Next Intense Moisturizer was prescribed to me by my doctor when my eczema flared up to some pretty next level. I had this peeling and burning up of the skin going along with redness and rashes. Before this, I never heard of this moisturizer.

At that very time, I was using my Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream because I not only needed hydration but also that thick texture to soothe the peeling of the skin. When my doctor prescribed this Efatop Next Intense Moisturizer with a unique combination, I immediately switched to this, using it daily day and night and now I am about to finish the tube. Review – Efatop Next Lotion/ Intense Moisturizer

My Skin Type: Sensitive and acne-prone skin. Dryness due to Eczema skin and occasional eczema flare-ups.

Packaging: It comes in an opaque squeezable tube with all the details mentioned on it including ingredients and expiry date.

Fragrance: It has a somewhat olive scent to it so it ain’t exactly disappointing but not a fancy one either.

My Experience

I started using this Efatop Lotion and as prescribed, I was constantly re-applying it every hour. The first thing I notice was the gel-creme-like texture. It isn’t a heavy or thick textured moisturizer but instead, a creme-like lotion or a moisturizer.

The moment I dabbed it all over my face and started massaging it, I could feel the presence of a water-like texture on my skin. It felt like I fed water on my thirsty skin. It wasn’t only moisturization but my skin immediately felt hydrated as well.

It takes some massaging to be completely absorbed by the skin and the kind of dryness I was having, I loved that moist feeling on my skin. After using it for every hour for a day or two, my skin completely healed from the eczema flare-up, rashes, flakiness, and redness. Well, I also had another prescribed ointment but Efatop moisturizer in itself made a lot of difference.

I don’t know what particular ingredient made the difference that even with a lightweight lotion-like texture, this moisturizer moisturized my skin from deep within and also improved the surface level of the skin.

Within weeks, my skin being dull, dehydrated, and flaky, turned into hydrated, moisturized, and glowy. And I am definitely not kidding with the glow. After my skin completely healed, I didn’t need to use it every hour as prescribed during the flare-up. I was so happy seeing my skin looking and feeling back to normal.

My skin isn’t exactly how it used to be because I was this person with really oily skin and couldn’t even think of intense moisturizer but after this whole eczema scenario, itch-free dry skin is what is normal for me.

My doctor also recommended Bioderma Atoderm after I finish my Efatop Next Moisturizer and I have started using that one too. The difference I feel between Efatop Lotion and Atoderm is that, with Atoderm, the nourishment stays for longer hours and with Efatop, you have to re-apply depending on your situation. Plus, the Atoderm moisturizer feels a little heavy on my skin.

I find that the moist feeling and water-like texture that Efatop Moisturizer provides, are more suitable for my current skin situation.

Somedays when my skin feels drier than usual, I go with the Cetaphil for a longer period of nourishment. If for some reason I feel Cetaphil is being a little on the heavier side due to a change in weather, I come back to Efatop.

My Mother who is also a dry skin person is simply obsessed with Atoderm moisturizer. This and Aveeno emollient cream are her absolute favorites.

Eczema is kind of a situation that not only causes surface-level dryness but also a lack of water resulting in so many more concerns which is why I feel Efatop Next Lotion is really helping me and I am in love with the creme-like texture and that glow. On the days I feel I need more, I go for Atoderm.

If you have got sensitive dry skin or eczema situation like mine, Efatop Next Intense Moisturizer would be an excellent option for you especially if you aren’t looking for a thick moisturizer.

Summing Up

Efatop Next Lotion Intense Moisturizer helped heal my eczema and other flare-ups due to allergies really well. Its creme-like texture provided hydration and nourishment resulting in moisturized skin that too with a noticeable glow. It ain’t a heavy or thick textured moisturizer ideal for summer while nourishing dry skin. Doesn’t feel heavy or oily on my skin. Perfect for atopic skin like mine.
