ISDIN Sunscreen Review – Fusion Water SPF 50

ISDIN Sunscreen Review – ISDIN Fotoprotector Fusion Water Sunscreen SPF 50 was introduced to me by my dermatologist when I visited her for my facial hair laser reduction. She noticed the blotchiness and asked me to switch to ISDIN sunscreen and other recommendations.
As someone with sensitive skin, finding good sunscreen has never been easy. Although, recently sunscreens like Episoft have been doing good for me. But, my dermatologist mentioned that they are only doing good because you are only 27. Their ingredients won’t do any good in the long run. Was it because of Oxybenzone? I don’t know. I had no reason to doubt her and I started using ISDIN sunscreen the same day. After testing out this lightweight and breathable sunscreen for several weeks throughout the summer – here’s what I think of it!
Quick Review – ISDIN Sunscreen
Worked Great on my Sensitive, Eczema, and Acne-Prone Skin. ISDIN sunscreen is a great option for people with skin concerns as it is formulated for people with skin allergies. I started using it when my skin was experiencing rosacea and eczema and the sunscreen did well without triggering redness. It is lightweight and causes no breakouts. Best for people with skin allergies.

My Personal Favourites
Niharika X NykaaIs ISDIN Fusion Water Chemical or Physical Sunscreen?
It is a chemical sunscreen as no physical UV filters are present in it.
The chemical UV filters present in this sunscreen are-
- Octocrylene
- Avobenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane)
- Ethylhexyl Salicylate
- Ensulizole (Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid)
- Polysilicone-15
- Tinosorb S (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine)
IT DOES NOT CONTAIN Oxybenzone or Octinoxate that are usually linked to controversies.
Is ISDIN Fusionwater Marine-safe?
No, it is not reef/coral/marine-safe.
Of all the chemical UV filters present in this sunscreen, except for Tinosorb-S, all other are considered “not reef-safe”.
ISDIN Eryfotona Actinica Sunscreen on the other hand is 100% Mineral Sunscreen as claimed by the Brand. I haven’t tried that as it is not available in India as of now but it looks promising.
How to Use ISDIN Sunscreen
Apply liberally on dry or wet skin, thirty minutes prior to sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours after sweating, swimming, or towel drying. If a smaller quantity is applied, the protection factor is lower. Keep babies and children out of direct sunlight. Keep the product out of reach of children. Do not refrigerate or freeze.

Detailed Review – ISDIN Fusion Water Sunscreen SPF 50
My Skin Type: It used to be oily but ever since my eczema came back after all these years, it is usually dry and often ends up having redness and flakiness. And of course, sensitive and acne-prone.
Packaging: By far the most amazing packaging a sunscreen or a moisturizer can have. Tiny bottle with a screw cap and a tiny little nozzle to dispense in the product without causing any mess around the bottleneck. Super easy to use and has the most hygienic packaging.

Fragrance: I love it!! Wish I could emojis here but it smells like that OG Nivea cream that we used to have in our childhood days. I enjoy it so much every time I apply the sunscreen on my face. It is not all disturbing or irritating.
My Experience with ISDIN Sunscreen
I honestly never heard about the Brand ISDIN before and neither did I spot this sunscreen while scrolling Nykaa or Amazon or even on the Internet when I looked for options for sunscreen for sensitive skin. I am glad I made a visit to my dermatologist and got to know about this beautiful sunscreen.
I started using the Isdin Fusion Water sunscreen every day after my moisturizer and the texture made me fall in love with it. It is like a melted vanilla ice cream. Even lighter. The consistency has this perfect balance of liquid and cream if I want to put this in simple words.
I take some in the palm of my hand and I actually love dispensing the sunscreen from the little nozzle. It gives a feel like I am decorating something. Then, I gently apply it all over my face followed by gentle tapping and massaging.

While application, as much as I enjoy the lightweight liquid texture, I enjoy that fragrance too. For the first time, sunscreen became the most exciting part of my morning skincare. With sunscreen like this, I don’t think anyone ever can forget to apply their sunscreen.
Even the Episoft sunscreen was runny in texture but ISDIN Fusion Water Sunscreen is like on another level. The texture is so comfortable on the skin and gets absorbed without leaving any stickiness or shine behind. It doesn’t make my skin sweat. Although my skin is not in its oily stage like it used to be,, I can definitely say, ISDIN sunscreen will be the best sunscreen you will ever try.
ISDIN fotoproector sunscreen clearly says that it does not irritate eyes and it is suitable for atopic skin, meaning eczema or similar skin conditions. True to its claim, it didn’t irritate my eczema at all. I didn’t face any flare-ups, no breakouts, no reactions.
I didn’t see it leaving any white cast or any uncomfortable texture behind. My skin loved it.
I can not deny the fact that it is by far the most expensive sunscreen I have ever tried but I feel it is absolutely worth it. Coming from eczema and itching, having a product that works for you is no less than a blessing.
From packaging to texture to the lightweight application, I loved everything about the ISDIN Fotoprotector Fusion Water Sunscreen SPF 50.
If you are facing Eczema or similar skin conditions like mine be it redness, blotchiness, or sensitivity, or even if you are looking for a sunscreen in General, ISDIN Sunscreen SPF 50 might be what you are looking for.
