Packaging: It comes in a dark glass bottle with a pump cap. Easy to use, store, and carry. The bottle has all the details on the label including ingredients and expiry date. It further comes in an outer box.

Fragrance: It has a typical Vitamin C serum scent which I have experienced in various vitamin C serums which is slightly burnt scent but nothing pungent.

My Experience

I love having a Vitamin C serum in my skincare routine. It is a complete package that brightens up the skin, adds glow and radiance, protects from sun damage, and improves skin health. But finding the right Vitamin C serum isn’t easy. Sometimes the texture doesn’t work for me as in the case of Prolixr and sometimes I just don’t see much of the results or get negative results as in the case of Minimalist.

I started using BeBodywise 20% Vitamin C Face Serum in my morning skincare routine after my face wash and toner. I am not a toner person but there is this Klairs supple toner that keeps my skin healthy and moisturized so I always keep this in my skincare routine.

I take about 2-3 drops and gently pat it over my face without rubbing. The consistency is lightweight and was easily absorbed by my skin without leaving any stickiness. Next, I followed up with my moisturizer and sunscreen.

A few days passed and I started liking the product because there wasn’t any redness or any reaction. It didn’t cause any breakouts and I was happy that the product was going in the right direction. There weren’t any noticeable changes but I was patiently waiting for it to show results.

A week later or more, I felt as if my complexion was looking off and dull. It wasn’t looking fresh. I had my doubts about Dr.Sheth’s Haldi Sunscreen because I just started using that but I couldn’t exactly pinpoint it.

I stopped using the sunscreen hoping that my skin would go back to normal but it didn’t. Next, I considered giving a break to BeBodywise Vitamin C serum, and within the next few days, my skin looked back to normal. It looked fresh and bright. I still couldn’t believe it was the Vitamin C serum so I went through online reviews and turns out a few people did experience the same. I always do a basic screening of the reviews before I buy the product so that I don’t end up with the wrong product in hand but sometimes it just doesn’t work for your skin.

Usually, this happens when the Vitamin C serum is oxidized. So in my case, it looks like it is oxidized otherwise, I wouldn’t be getting the opposite results I got with the Bebodywise Vitamin C face serum.

I won’t be using Be Bodywise 20% Vitamin C serum for my face anymore and will finish this up by using it on my hands and legs once in a while as I do not want to waste it. I am guessing if it wasn’t oxidized it might have worked great because it didn’t result in any breakouts or anything their salicylic acid body wash is my current favorite. That body wash treated all the heat boils that I always get during the peak of summer and improved my skin texture so much.

Is 20% vitamin C serum effective?

Yes, 20% Vitamin C serum can be very effective. According to dermatologists, a concentration level of around 8 to 20 percent is usually recommended for Vitamin C serums, making 20% a high and potent dosage. It has been noted that Vitamin C can effectively manage and correct multiple skin issues, and applying it topically can result in less cell damage and better-looking skin. Furthermore, a 20% Vitamin C serum may provide exfoliation, promote skin renewal, help reduce uneven skin tone and the formation of dark spots, and provide antioxidants to promote healthy skin.

However, it’s essential to note that not all vitamin C serums are created equal. The most effective form of vitamin C is l-ascorbic acid. Also, depending on your skin tolerance, you might want to start with lower concentrations and build up to higher ones.

In conclusion, a 20% Vitamin C serum can indeed be effective, offering multiple benefits for the skin, from anti-aging effects to improving skin health.

Summing Up

BeBodywise 20% Vitamin C serum is a lightweight serum that is easily absorbed without leaving any stickiness behind. It didn’t cause any breakouts or any reaction but unfortunately, it made my skin look super dull and off. I didn’t experience any of the positive results and I had to discontinue because of such opposite results I got.

Pros
  • Lightweight
  • Leaves no stickiness
  • Easily absorbed
  • No Breakouts
Cons
  • Made my skin look dull probably because of oxidisation
  • No Positive Results
