Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream Review
I bought Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream when I had the worst eczema flare-up to date. I had eczema by birth but it was treated back then with a warning that there are chances of eczema to return in late 20s which apparently happened in my case as well.

One fine day, I noticed my skin feeling a burning sensation followed by redness which ultimately became the worst flare-up ever. There was peeling of the skin, painful rashes, severe dryness, and itchiness, and my skin was literally in pain.
I had just started using Retinol and a hair care serum too and I don’t know if they triggered my eczema or what but since then I have been getting flare-ups and my skin faces extreme dryness. The dryness I faced when I had my first flare-up legit felt like a rock. Multiple tubes of moisturizers, coconut oil, Vaseline, boroline, and God knows what I did to relieve that stiff dryness but nothing really worked and I had to consult a doctor and go on prescribed steroids. Only then, did my eczema settle down.
I am grateful for that doctor to saved my life and cured that painful eczema overnight but you can not stay on steroids forever or jump to steroids every time you have a flare-up. I had to find a solution. While looking for eczema relief products on Amazon, I got to know about Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream which had so many positive reviews and I immediately decided to go for it.

This was the ingredient list I found on the Eucerin website. But, when I looked over Walmart for this product, I found a warning mentioned there that states this product contains some chemicals that trigger the State of California Proposition 65. This basically means that the product contains certain dangerous chemicals that can lead to cancer, birth defects, or harm to the reproductive system.
I don’t know why this warning isn’t being taken seriously globally. I mean if there are such ingredients, why do people still consider the best for flare-ups. Anyway, I myself got to know about this when I was doing my research for the article and I had no clue when I was actually buying the product.
How to Use
Apply the Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream as needed to affected areas.
Review – Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream
My skin type: Dry, Eczema-prone skin. Sensitive and acne-prone skin. Used to be oily before Eczema.
Packaging: It comes in an opaque squeezable tube with a flip-flop cap. The product doesn’t have a detailed list of ingredients. It does have an expiry date mentioned and is safe to travel with.

Fragrance: None as such.
My Experience
I took a decent amount and applied it all over my face just like I apply my moisturizer. I didn’t completely rub it in and softly massaged it to leave a thin layer over my face to soothe the active redness.
The texture felt soft and easy to massage. The consistency didn’t exactly feel super thick but it isn’t a lightweight moisturizer either. I could definitely feel this moisturizer being a heavy duty one.
The moment I applied it, I definitely noticed a calming cooling sensation. My active redness felt soothed and there was a definite relief for a moment. But that cooling sensation and calming-ness didn’t really last long and I was back to feeling the burn on my rashes.
Talking about the nourishment, I really had high hopes but unfortunately, it didn’t do much in terms of moisturization. I had to re-apply my Cetaphil moisturizer again. Every time I had Eucerin Eczema Relief cream on, I had to apply it again and again in a short span of 20 minutes. Even with multiple applications for several days, I didn’t feel any relief from dryness despite being a rich moisturizer.
Generally, a rich moisturizer would do a great job in treating dryness. But if there is a product dedicated for Eczema, then it should be able to treat the intense dryness and flaky-ness that comes with Eczema flare-ups.
I had to discontinue it as I wasn’t getting much of the result from it. Neither in terms of soothing the flare-up nor in terms of nourishment. I mean, I am not talking about general dryness, I am talking about Eczema dryness which is onto the next level.
I wish the instant cooling sensation and soothing feeling lasted much longer so that I could use this moisturizer to soothe up active burning rashes. Most of the reviews loved using this Eucerin eczema relief cream but in my case, I didn’t get many results.
When I use Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream on normal days when I do not have an active flare-up, only the dryness as after effect, it does a decent job on moisturization. But not so much with flare-up dryness.

Summing Up
Eucerin Eczema Relief Cream didn’t help me much in soothing the flare-ups or reducing the eczema symptoms. I didn’t find it moisturizing enough to soothe the dry patches. It did provide an instant cooling sensation during flare-ups that calmed the active redness a bit but that didn’t last much longer and I was feeling the burning sensation again.
