Deconstruct Retinol Serum Review

Deconstruct Retinol and Peptide Serum Review

Deconstruct Retinol Serum Review โ€“ I guess itโ€™s been months since I have written an article let alone a product review and there were many reasons. I am not a fan of the winter season. It is so dull without Sunlight. I couldnโ€™t even take my product photos and kept pushing away all the work until I realized a part of my life was missing and that was writing blogs.

I indeed write because I love it but also, it is my career. So when Google rolled out updates one after another it kind of affected my website and its reach on an extreme level. I donโ€™t know if I was disappointed or just felt tired but it was like no matter what I was doing, my articles were losing their reach.

Overview โ€“ Deconstruct Retinol Serum Review in a Glance

The retinol serum from Deconstruct worked perfectly fine for my sensitive skin. It did not trigger any allergies or eczema and neither caused any redness or rashes. As far as the results goes, Iโ€™ll need to continue the use for months and months and retinol is more about delaying the effects rather than seeing any quick change.

I have been using Deconstruct Retinol and Peptide serum for over months now and I just decided I need to get back to writing so here I am with a fresh article which is a product review, my in-depth experience with Deconstruct Retinol Serum.

Actually, probably a year ago I received a collaboration offer from Deconstruct but looks like we couldnโ€™t settle on terms and I never heard back from them.

How is the Packaging?

Comes in a dark frosty bottle with a pump dispenser secured by a cap. The dispenser works fine and causes no mess and I feel it is ideal to travel with as well. It further comes in a cardboard box packaging that has all the necessary details. The bottle itself has an expiry date mentioned but it is printed with one of those ink that fades away with time.

Thoughts on Fragrance

None as such but still a very mild typical retinol-serums kind of scent.

My Experience with Deconstruct Retinol and Peptide Serum

My Skin Type: Sensitive and acne-prone skin. Dryness due to a history of eczema.

Deconstruct Retinol Serum Bottle

The reason I considered Deconstruct as a brand for my retinol serum is because the one I was using from The Ordinary started to feel way more intense for my skin, especially after eczema flare-ups.

The one from Deconstruct listed the lowest amount of retinol which is 0.2% which is safest for sensitive skin and a lot of people in the customer reviews appreciated the product. I decided to get this one for myself and I am glad I made the decision as it has been working great for me.

The retinol serum is supposed to be used in the night only hence I continued with my routine of using retinol in my night-time skincare routine on alternative days followed by my all-time favorite Cetaphil moisturizer.

I stuck to this routine for months and what I loved the most was that this Deconstruct retinol and peptide serum didnโ€™t react to my skin at all. Especially my sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

It is lightweight in consistency and goes easily on the skin without creating any slippery layer or any stickiness. I got no breakouts, no redness, no rashes, and no peeling up of the skin.

I can definitely say it is one of the safest retinols I have ever used. Well, retinol is more about including it in your routine to delay the early signs of aging but ever since I have been using it, I love how my skin looks at the end of the routine.

Till now, only this and one from Nykaa SkinRx are the safest option for sensitive skin. I have recommended the complete NykaaSkinRx Retinol serum and moisturizer range to so many people, especially beginners and mature skin.

I did not experience any excessive dryness with Deconstruct Retinol and Peptide serum and I think it is one of my best buys when it comes to retinol. Almost finished the bottle and I absolutely loved the experience.

The important step is to follow up with a moisturizer and not skip your sunscreen during that time. My personal favorites are ISDIN and UV Doux. If you are someone with sensitive and eczema skin or if you experience atopic dryness and looking for an ideal routine that includes retinol, this is it. A gentle cleanser, for me, is Cetaphil Cleanser, followed by Retinol, and finishing up with a moisturizer. If it is daytime, end it up with sunscreen. This is it!

Summing Up

Deconstruct Retinol and Peptide serum with 0.2% retinol is one of the safest retinol in my experience. It did not burn my skin and neither react to peeling of the skin. The texture is light and gets absorbed easily without leaving any stickiness. I faced no breakouts and the serum worked very well, especially for my sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

Pros

  • Lightweight Texture
  • Causes no dryness
  • No redness or rashes
  • The lowest retinol % is ideal for sensitive skin
  • Works for my eczema-prone skin

Cons

  • None

This was it for today. I hope you have found my review helpful. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Have a Good Day!
