Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer Review
Simple is a brand that gained my attention with it’s “Sensitive Skin Experts” tag line. And when I tried Simple Micellar Water, I actually fell in love with this brand. It gained my trust to be being effective on my sensitive and acne-prone skin and also being affordable at the same time.
Because I loved their Micellar Water, I decided to give their other products a try. I went ahead and bought Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer and I am glad I invested my money in this.
There are three variants, Light – normal to oily skin, Rich – for dry skin, and Protecting Light Moisturizer which is an SPF variant. I purposely avoid the SPF variant because for the past few months my skin is breaking out by using sunscreens or products having SPF. Hence, I included Vitamin-C serum in my skincare routine.
I have been using this moisturizer for the past month and I am all set to share my experience with you all.

Review – Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer Sensitive Skin Experts
My Skin Type- Combination to Oily, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging: Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer comes in an opaque squeezable plastic bottle with a secure flip-flop cap having a nozzle for a controlled dispense of the product. It has all the information on the labels. It is travel-friendly as well.
Fragrance: It has no added fragrance which I am so happy about because fragrance-based products not only irritate your skin but can be heavy or annoying for sensitive nose people like me. Being said that, it has a slight medicated smell to it which is not at all bothering. Even the Cetaphil Moisturizer is a fragrance-free product but its medicated smell is like bitter almonds.
My Experience
Where to start with? It is simply awesome. If you are an oily skin person with sensitive and acne-prone skin and looking for a moisturizer that is lightweight and also helps in treating pimples, Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer is perfect for your skincare routine.
I simply bought this moisturizer because it is lightweight and non-comedogenic. I am a person who neither loves extremely matte moisturizers nor too heavy ones and this moisturizer from Simple is totally appropriate for my liking.

The consistency is like a gel-creme and is easy to apply. I take a pea-sized amount and within seconds, my skin absorbs the product leaving non-greasy, non-shiny, glowy, and moisturized skin. Throughout the day, I do not feel that my skin is lacking moisturization. Might happen on extreme winter days. Neither my skin turns oily within hours of application.
For dry skin people, Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer would not provide enough moisturization for you. This moisturizer won’t be a fit for you if you are looking for an intense moisturizer. Instead, their Rich Variant will do the job for you.
I continued using this, day and night, and after a few weeks, I started noticing that it has treated my pimples so effectively. My pimples were dried up and even their marks were fading away. Surprisingly, this moisturizer has literally worked on pimples and their marks.

To treat my pimples or to have pimple-free skin, my only option was to have a deep pore cleanser, my all-time favorite plum green toner, and their mask, followed by a lightweight moisturizer. But having a moisturizer that also works in fading away pimples is the cherry on top.
With continuous usage, my skin looked glowy, clear, and moisturized. I didn’t face any stickiness, heaviness, or breakout by using this moisturizer.
It performed well under the makeup too. But I do feel it might not give the smoothest application of everyday wear BB Cream or Foundation. I am not sure if it is the moisturizer or the makeup products or the dry atmosphere. It only happened a few times. Not a problem for me.
Summing Up…
Simple Skincare Hydrating Light Moisturizer is an ideal moisturizer for oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. It is lightweight, free from pore-clogging, and harsh Ingredients. It moisturizes well without leaving a shiny/greasy layer and the best, it is effective on pimples and marks and helps them fade away. No doubt, one of the best moisturizers for oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin.
