Cetaphil by Galderma is a brand that is trusted worldwide by sensitive skin people. It is one of the brands recommended by skin doctors because it is specially designed for sensitive and acne-prone skin.
Being a sensitive skin person, I decided to grab Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion which is for Dry Sensitive Skin. The terms Non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, non-greasy, and dermatologist recommended attracted me the most.
The formula of the Cetaphil products is free from fragrance and is non-comedogenic, that is, it doesn’t contain any ingredient which can clog pores.

Review – Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion for Dry Sensitive Skin
My Skin Type: Combination to Oily, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging: It comes with a squeezable plastic bottle with a flip-flop cap and a nozzle to dispense the product. The product has all the labels required and I feel the packaging is travel-friendly and handy too.
Fragrance: It has a very weird medicated kind of fragrance. Not extremely pleasant I will say. It somewhere relates to the smell of bitter almonds lol.
Although it says it is for the body and can be used all over the body, I purposely bought it for my face. Also, I feel this tiny bottle as a body lotion will be costly.
You must be wondering why being an oily skin person I bought a moisturizer which says for “dry skin”. The reason is, my skin, being extremely sensitive, goes through dryness and flakiness seasonally and for that purpose, I always keep a rich hydrating moisturizer at my shelf.
To date, I was using Biotique Morning Nectar for this purpose but I decided to try something new and that is how I bought Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion.
Because I bought this when my skin was facing dryness, it worked absolutely awesome for me. The texture is soft and smooth, easy to apply and massage on the skin, and leaves skin soft and healthily moisturized. I used this lotion as my day and night cream, both.
After continuously using this lotion for around a week or 10 days, I noticed that dryness and flakiness is healing. My skin started to look healthy and hydrated. It worked fantastically on my dryness.
Later, during the season change, when my skin started getting oily, this Moisturizing Lotion from Cetaphil started to make my skin look dull and shiny. The summer season was there and my skin was producing more oils, so, for obvious reasons, this lotion didn’t work well for my oily skin during summers but in winters, it worked pretty awesomely when I facing slight dryness.
I also asked my mother to try this lotion because she is a Sahara desert dry skin person and she absolutely loved this lotion throughout the year. Her dry skin started to look much more healthy with a natural glow. So for the dry skin people, it is a HIT product.
Coming to how it worked for sensitive and acne-prone skin, it worked pretty fine. I got no breakouts or any allergies.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion is a wonderful product for dry skin people. It is lightweight and easy to massage in. It heals and hydrates the dry skin making it healthy and glowy. It works wonderfully in healing flaky skin or rashes caused by dryness. For oily skin, it will only make your skin look oily and dull. Go for this if your oily skin turns dry due to season change. It works well for all skin types during winters. Suits my sensitive and acne-prone skin.
