My Skin Type: Combination to Oily in Summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin

Packaging: Comes in a see-through squeezable tube with a color-coded flip-flop cap. Super easy to store and use. The label has all the required information such as expiry date, ingredients, and price.

Fragrance: Heavenly! Do you know how citrusy and tangy fragrances take you into some other world? I love it when tangy notes are actually refreshing and do not just tease your senses. I legit enjoy the fragrance every time I use this face wash.

My Experience

As always, being a gel cleanser, I expected it to be one of those mild and soft that leaves a soapy layer behind but it is actually far and much better than what I had in my mind.

I start by taking a tiny amount and foaming it up and it does foam up pretty well. I spend a good amount of time cleansing my face with round gentle motions. While washing it off, I noticed it is definitely on the slightly milder side but wasn’t that much of a trouble to wash it off.

I mean if you have used the Simple Refreshing Face Wash, you found to know what I am talking about. This Nykaa Sandalwood Face Wash is far better than Simple when it comes to rinsing off.

The next thing I noticed was that despite being a gel-based face wash it really did a nice job of removing all the oil, sweat, and dirt. My skin wasn’t feeling too slippery and neither too dry nor stretchy. Simply perfect.

I felt my skin totally clean, refreshed, and calm.

Next, I always follow up with my skincare actives followed by my all-time favorite Aveeno moisturizer. I am also using Nykaa’s own launched Salicylic and Niacinamide followed by their Gold Facial Oil and OMG I love that facial oil. I think I am going to write about that facial oil next so make sure you are connected.

With regular usage, I can definitely say it does have some brightening properties. I always love products that brighten up because all this oil and sweat can lead to dullness, especially for oily skin people.

My Mom, who is a dry skin person also uses this Nykaa Sandalwood and Orange Peel Face Wash day and night and she absolutely loves this.

It worked great during hot sunny days and as we are approaching cold days, it is doing well even now. Plus, I didn’t notice any breakouts or allergies so it worked for my sensitive skin as well.

I am not a huge fan of extremely mild face wash but I really loved this Nykaa Naturals Sandalwood Face Wash because it isn’t way too mild or way too strong. Just perfect!

I have now started loving Nykaa Cosmetics. Be it skincare or makeup, they are always nailing it.

Neither too mild nor too strong. Simply perfect. Suits my oily skin and Mom’s dry skin as well. No breakouts and no allergies. Oh, and yes, it does have brightening properties. I love it.
