Nykaa 24K Gold Facial Oil Review
I have been feeling myself really into facial oils for the past few years. I have been using this Nykaa 24K Gold Facial oil for over months now and before that, I used YBP Plant Remedy and since then, I have had this newfound love for facial oils. I always thought being an oily skin person facial oils will end up giving more harm than good but that is so not true.

Yes, facial oils can end up clogging pores resulting in breakouts but that is only when you are not using the right ingredients which is the case with each and every product. YBP Facial Oil legit changed my perspective on facial oils.
I have always wanted to feed my skin facial oils because I believe our skin needs oils and oils might be the purest form through which we can feed our skin.
I have had experiences where I ended up having giant acne and bumps because of facial oils and serums all because the ingredients weren’t right or were not in their purest form.
My Personal Favourites
Niharika X NykaaThat is the main reason I try to stay away from most of the commercialized or extremely bulk-produced products because in my experience they lose their true essence somehow.
Well, this article is about my experience with Nykaa Skin Potion 24K Gold Facial Oil. There were so many options to choose from but my mind and gut just went with the 24K Gold variant and I am actually happy about my decision now.

How to Use
I am going to share how I use facial oils. I get it that not everybody has time to follow a particular routine, do the massage, use the stones and roller but, one should stick to a default routine even it is just including two products.
For me, a moisturizer is a must. No matter what I add or subtract from my skincare routine, my Aveeno Moisturizer is my constant with a little massage to boost the blood flow. In fact, skincare actives also have been a part of my routine for a really long time especially the salicylic acid.
Then, I follow up with my Nykaa 24K Gold Facial oil every night or every other night. Just a few drops. Probably 4 maximum. And then, If I feel like it, I proceed with a gua sha massage. I don’t follow the gua sha every day, which I should, but, you know!
No matter what, facial massage before bed is important. If not gua sha, if not a roller, a few gentle movements with your fingertips will do the job and I literally do this every night even on those days when I haven’t used the facial oil. It helps to drain tension in your muscles, improves skin health, improves blood flow, and it is for everything good.
Review – Nykaa Skin Potion 24K Gold Facial Oil
My Skin Type: Combination to Oily in Summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging: As always, I do not have the outer box with me now. I did save it for a while but then threw it away (sigh!).
It comes in a really beautiful opaque bottle with a dropper. Can’t say if it is glass but doesn’t feel like plastic either. Definitely breakable. At least, this is what I feel. The bottle is color-coated with the theme, that is the gold and dropper is well-functioning and easy to use.
Mess-free and easy-to-use packaging.
Fragrance: I do not see this in the ingredient list but I feel orange-peel for sure and it is so, so refreshing. It just calms my senses and feels like a perfect way to end the day.
My Experience

Once I am done with applying salicylic acid and moisturizer, I take about 3 to 4 drops of Nykaa 24K Gold Facial Oil, warm it up between my palms and gently tap it on my face taking deep breaths. Yes, deep breaths are equally important while doing your skincare or in fact any dedicated activity. Try this if you haven’t already and you will notice the difference.
I do not rub the facial oil on my skin. I only slowly and gently tap followed by a really soothing massage. The massage helps my skin to absorb the facial oil and also helps with lymphatic drainage.
I have been using Nykaa Gold Facial Oil for over months now and the first thing I noticed about this oil was the texture and feel on the skin and no doubt, it feels really perfect. I ain’t exaggerating when I say perfect because it doesn’t feel heavy, sticky, lacy, or anything uncomfortable.
It isn’t too watery or too oily if you know what I mean. It doesn’t leave any oiliness on my hands behind and feels perfect while massaging it on the skin.

Talking about the nourishment, it feels on point to me but again a facial oil can not act alone especially if you are a dry skin person or if you are using it in winters. I feel both, moisturizer, and facial oil has their own importance and can not be used in each other place.
A lot of time, I skipped my moisturizer and went to bed with facial oil only but what I felt was, my skin wasn’t hydrated as it should be when I wake up in the morning especially during the winters.
It can be used during the day but it doesn’t solve the purpose for me. I don’t want to apply anything on top of the facial oil but at the same time, sunscreen is the last thing you should be completing your routine with. That’s the only reason I prefer using facial oil during the night as it also helps the skin to flow easily with the nighttime repair mode.
Coming to if it worked for my sensitive skin then yes, it definitely worked for my sensitive and acne-prone skin. I faced no rashes, no allergies, and no cystic acne with Nykaa 24K Gold Facial Oil and with the regular usage, there was a definite suppleness in my skin to notice.
At this point, I feel softness and suppleness are obvious results to expect from a facial oil but what matters the most is the experience and aroma. There have been products that made me feel like I am a sticky pad and everything like dust particles and all are sticking to me right now and that is the kind of uneasy experience you want to avoid.
Plus, I think it really calms my skin. It can be the ingredients or the aroma, or both, but it does feel calming. Like it instantly sort of soothes my skin. Do you know the kind of relaxation you feel every time you apply a lip balm? That is the kind of calmness I feel and I love it. I instantly connect with it at that moment and it is so therapeutic.
It might feel like over the top what I am about to say but when you feel relaxed at the moment either through a product or a massage or a food item, it is actually really good for your mental health. It helps you to disconnect from the past and future and makes you feel the present.

This is what makes a product for me a complete worth. As I mentioned, it is a whole experience. When I felt like Nykaa 24K Gold Facial Oil feels the worth of my money spent in all the possible ways, that is when I connected with the product the most.
From packaging to fragrance to feel on the skin, I really enjoyed everything and I think you can easily go ahead with Nykaa Facial Oils and if not all, you can definitely go with the 24K Gold variant. Whether you are a dry skin or oily and even sensitive skin person like me, I feel this going to work for all.

So glad to hear that 🙂
sounds promising. will definitely give it a try! havent tried anything from this brand yet!
Go for it 🙂 You’ll love it.
I really like the pictures you’ve clicke
Can I ask which camera you use?
Hey, thank you. I use my phone. One Plus 8Pro.
They didn’t list the Ingredients on the bottle?? That should be illegal, honestly. I was also looking for an ingredients list, bc it wasn’t on the Nykaa site/app, too. ♀️ It’s highly irresponsible & seems honestly like they’re trying to hide something by not including this. I’d never use anything – esp on my face! – without knowing what the ingredients are.
Thanks for the review! You gave me more info than Nykaa did, lol! I love Nykaa btw & even have the app to order my beauty products, religiously. I’m shocked that they thought this was ok on any level, smh. Like I said, consumer protection should be considered & consumer protection orgs should be contacted to rectify this.
Thanks again. I hope Nykaa does better in the future. (I just get my facial oils pure & separately, then combine them! That’s the safest way, apparently, lol )

I totally get you. There are so many reputed Brands that do not put the complete ingredient list on the product. I like the idea though of DIY Facial Oil 🙂
