My Experience…

Simple Refreshing Face Wash Gel Review

I start by squeezing out a coin-sized amount and notice that it has a complete transparent runny like texture.

Next, I start applying and massaging the gel face wash onto my face and I could feel the jelly-like consistency which, to be honest, I really don’t like. 😛 I never find that gel-like feeling with my cleansers.

I mean, I have tried a lot of gel-based cleansers but they don’t really feel that gel-like while massaging on the face. But with this, I could feel that not-so-satisfying jelly-like feel onto my face and hands. Maybe I am used to the feel of those foaming cleansers.

Simple Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Review - Sensitive Skin Experts

It forms a slight amount of lather. While washing-off, there was again that jelly-like slippery feel which isn’t the best for my liking. It is somewhat okay in winters and in the dry season but I know during summers and humid season, I would never ever find this satisfying.

Coming to the cleansing properties, it no doubts cleanses the skin well giving a fresh and clean feel. It doesn’t leave the skin dry and stretchy. After completely washing-off, it leaves skin soft with a mild layer of moisture behind which is again, okay in winters but my skin won’t prefer this during the humid season.

If you are someone who won’t mind the jelly-like feel it gives while washing-off, then you are going to like it. But, if you are like me who doesn’t prefer too mild cleansers or that slippery layer some cleansers leave behind, then you might not prefer this one.

It isn’t a strong or deep purifying cleanser. I didn’t find it working on the pores or clogged pores. My pores really get clogged easily and that’s the reason The Face Shop Jeju Cleanser is still my favorite.

Being free from harsh chemicals, it doesn’t give any breakouts or reactions and suit my sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is just, it is way too mild than my liking.

Turns out, it is an everyday mild (too mild!) gentle gel cleanser for a fresh and clean look.

If you are someone who loves mild gel-based cleansers, then Simple Refreshing Facial Wash is for you. But if you are someone like me, who likes slightly strong and deep purifying cleansers which leave skin squeaky clean, then this might not impress you.

Simple Refreshing Face Wash Gel is an extremely mild and gentle everyday cleanser with a runny gel-like consistency. It does cleanse well leaving the skin fresh and clean but it does give jelly-like feeling while lathering and washing-off. Being free from harsh chemicals, it suits my sensitive and acne-prone skin. It is just super mild cleansers with a jelly-like feel to it are not much into my liking.

  • Suitable for Sensitive and Acne-Prone skin
  • Free from Harsh Chemicals
  • Cleanses Well
  • Gives a Soft, Fresh and Clean Look
  • Everyday Gentle and Mild Cleanser
  • Doesn’t leave skin Dry or Stretchy
  • Way too mild for my liking
  • Gives jelly-like slippery feeling while lathering and washing-off
