Nykaa Acne Patch Review: A Total Failure!

nykaa acne patch review

I wasn’t really planning on buying the Nykaa Acne patch because my intuition somewhere was guiding me that this might not work as I had hoped. One day when my spot corrector was over, I decided to see what was new in the acne section over Nykaa and I happened to spot these patches again.

I thought okay why not, it will be something new for me to try and share on my blog.

The last time I loved an acne patch was from Derma Angel and this one was recommended to me by my Dermat. But, they are super costly so I don’t always rush towards them. They are great when you are traveling but if I am at home only with no rush, I’ll rather have Mario Badescu with me.

It doesn’t really take a lot of time to frame an opinion when it comes to acne or pimple patches. I have used a few and here I am with a detailed opinion of them.

If you have been looking for a review on Nykaa acne patches or spot patches in their words, you are on the right page.

Nykaa Acne Patches Review in a Glance

1/5

⭐️

Unfortunately, these patches did not work for me. They did not deliver any results and were a total failure. They didn’t stick properly, were not good enough to haze out or to blur the acne redness, would fall off, and were not good with their stickiness, and the major of all, they did not do a thing on the acne. The only plus point is that these patches are thin in thickness.

Thoughts on Packaging

The patches come in standard default packaging i.e., on a transparent sheet. The outer packaging is simply a pouch. No box or zipped pouch. Easy to store and travel with.

These are thin patches, which I like

I always have at least one pimple to test out the acne products. I took out the patch and the first thing I noticed was the thickness. They aren’t super thick which is a plus point. Acne patches should be thin otherwise there is no point.

Didn’t blur the acne redness

Though they were thin, they didn’t really do a great job of hazing out the redness. Usually, all the acne patches I have tried in the past whether good/bad, used to haze out the visibility of the acne especially if there was noticeable redness. With the Nykaa acne patch, it didn’t really blur the redness.

They don’t stick well

Next, I wanted to see how effective they were on the acne – the real task but before I could go there, I realized these patches weren’t good with their sticking power.

I had no idea when and where exactly the patch fell off. For hours I was worried thinking didn’t it go into my food?? Did I eat it? 😵‍💫

And this didn’t happen just once, I faced this multiple times where they would fall off or start coming from the edges. Definitely not good with their stickiness.

No results on the acne

Now the real test, is whether they were actually helpful in treating acne or not, and unfortunately, these patches didn’t do a thing. I wore them overnight, wore them throughout the day, but they didn’t work at all. Not a single one of them ever pulled out the acne puss.

In my experience, they were a total failure.

Neither of these patches was helpful in blurring the acne, nor did they have a good sticking power, nor they work on the acne.

Final Thoughts

Nykaa acne patches didn’t work for me. They didn’t help with acne, they didn’t stick properly, and they just didn’t solve the purpose. If I had to, I would go for and recommend Derma Angel acne patches only until I find the next best acne patch. The only good thing about these Nykaa acne patches was that they were thin and there weren’t any side effects. That’s it!

Pros

  • Thin sheets/patches
  • No rashes or side effects

Cons

  • Not good with their sticking power and would fall off often
  • No results on the acne
  • They don’t haze out the redness
