Lakme 9to5 Lip and Cheek Color – Crimson Silk and Rose Touch – Review and Swatches

I am seriously getting addicted to these Lakme 9to5 Lip and Cheek Color or Tints. The way they blend out onto the cheeks giving a healthy and natural blush from within is just so satisfying. The same on the lip gives a beautiful tinted look. Lip and color creams or tints are my newfound love. 

Recently, I tried Lakme 9to5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color in the shade “Crimson Silk” and “Rose Touch” and I am all set to share my views and swatches on the same.

Review and Swatches – Lakme 9to5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Color

Packaging: It comes with a round tube with a screw lid attached to a foam tip applicator just like we get in our liquid lipsticks. The lid closes tightly so I find them easy to travel with as well and yes, they are mess-free. The shade name and best-before date are written on the bottom of the tube as well.

Fragrance: These Lakme 9to5 Lip and Cheek colors are loaded with milky or chocolaty kinds of fragrances. Something like sweet chocolaty candies. Not that bothersome but they are not mild as well.

My Experience

The shade “Crimson Silk” is a velvety red kind of color and looks really pretty on cheeks and lips. It gives a healthy red-ish/pinkish glow from within kind of tint to the cheeks and on lips, it looks like your regular lip color but once you blend it out with your finger, it seamlessly diffuses giving a beautiful tinted look which I really look.

The shade “Rose Touch” is more of a cool-toned mauve-ish or plum shade. Initially, I thought it won’t look good on the cheeks but surprisingly, it looked really pretty. It gives a cool-toned rosy tint to the cheeks. On the lips, it looks like cool-toned mauve lip color which I sometimes mix and match with other contrasting shades.

The pigmentation of these 9to5 Lip and Cheek colors is the ultimate one. A single teeny-tiny dot covers the whole cheek. Even if you are willing to wear them as your regular lipsticks, the pigmentation is solid enough to solve the purpose.

Lakme 9to5 Lip and Cheek Color are easy to blend and work with. They are not patchy and do not leave a tough stain on the cheeks. Instead, they blend out like a smooth cream blush leaving no strikes behind.

I really like the sponge tip applicator as well. The shape of it makes it easy to carve out the lip line. 

Lakme 9to5 Lip and Cheek colors are long-lasting as well. On the lips, it even survived a meal leaving a slight tint behind but only when I wore it as a regular lipstick. When I dotted a few dots over the lip and blended with my finger, that lasting duration obviously reduced. 

On the cheeks, it again depends the intensity of the color you added to the cheeks. For regular usage, a tiny dot will solve the purpose but if you are willing to wear them for a full-day event, I will suggest you increase the intensity slightly more and secure it with a makeup fixer.

Oh, and yes, the texture is really light. It doesn’t feel heavy, sticky, or patchy on the lip and cheeks. In case you wondering, I didn’t get any breakouts while using these lip and cheek colors on my skin for my everyday wear blush.

Summing Up

Lakme 9to5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip and Cheek Colour is a multi-purpose color cream that can be used as a cream blush, lip tint, or regular lipstick. They are heavily pigmented and blend easily onto the skin giving a healthy tinted look to the cheeks and lips. These are lightweight and perfect for everyday wear. These are long-lasting as well depending on the intensity of the color used and cause no breakouts when used as a blush.
