Garnier Light Complete Duo Action Face Wash caught my attention when I was randomly looking for something new on Nykaa to try. I enjoy trying new beauty products and review them on my blog.
I got a strong feeling for this face wash that it might be the kind of which I like that is, strong and foaming cleansers which leaves the oily skin squeaky clean.
There are a lot of Do’s and Don’t when it comes to skincare such as not to use strong foaming cleansers as it might rip off your facial oils but after giving in so many years to my love for skincare, I have realized that it is more of mental satisfaction and how we feel after using a product.
A lot of times after Investing in a really good product which is doing great for your skin as well, you are not able to feel mentally satisfied with it. I don’t know if this happens with anyone but I do feel this a lot. 😃
That is the reason The Face Shop Jeju Volcanic Face Wash remains my priority even when there are a lot of other cleansers that give similar kinds of results. And I guess that is what exciting about in trying new skincare or makeup products as you never know which products make its way to your heart. It’s exciting!

I have been using the Garnier Light Complete White Seed Duo Action Face Wash for over a month or two now and I am all set to share my Review and Experience with Garnier Light Facewash.

My Past Experience with Garnier Products
Garnier was a new brand for me when I was a teenager and back then most of their products didn’t work for me. All I got was itchy skin and pimples. Like this was a common result after using Garnier Products.
Years later, when I gave Garnier another try buy using their Light Complete Face Cream and Body Lotion, I got the same results. I was mentally ready that Garnier Duo Action Face Wash isn’t going to work for me as well but I gave this facewash a good time to try and test it out here is how it worked for me. Keep on reading.
Review – Garnier Light Complete Duo Action Face Wash
My Skin Type: Combination to Oily, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging: It comes in a squeezable tube with a flip-flop cap having a nozzle that controls the flow of the product. The product has all the labels you need such as Ingredients, Directions, Best Before Date, and everything. I won’t say it is totally travel-friendly and won’t cause a mess because the lid is not tight enough to be carried while traveling.
Fragrance: Garnier Duo Action Facewash has a basic “Garnier” Fragrance which you will notice in all the Garnier Light Products that is, citrusy. Not something bothersome though.
My Experience
It is a thick yellow face wash which forms a good amount of lather. A little bit does a good job of cleaning the face efficiently.
Post washing, I notice my face is completely free of all the dirt and grime which is great and leaves my skin the exactly I prefer, which is squeaky clean. I do not prefer cleansers which leaves a mild soapy layer on my skin no matter how good they are for skin. Living in a polluted city, strong cleansers is what I prefer.
The first thing I wanted to notice was, the weather this face wash is giving me itchy skin or not and surprisingly, it did not. I did not face any kind of allergic reaction after using the face wash. No redness, no itchiness, nothing! Great, Right?

I continued using this to see if it causes any acne and no, I got no breakouts. Though it is not a targeted facewash for clogged pores or pimples, it didn’t cause new pimples either. So far so good.
If you are wondering is it good for dry skin too then no, it will be strong for dry skin and might increase the dryness for dry skin.
I checked the ingredients list as well and I did not see Parabens either. Great!
After regular usage, what I can finally conclude about Garnier Duo Action Face Wash is, it is a good face wash that cleanses the skin, removing all the dirt and excess oil from the face, leaving it clean and fresh. Apart from this, it has no effect on pimples, marks, or clogged pores. Neither it controls from any new pimple coming up.
So, Did I Liked the FaceWash?
Like I mentioned in the starting, even when a product is good, you don’t happen to connect with it mentally. The same happened with me in regard to Garnier Duo Action Face Wash. It cleanses well, but still, I prefer TheFaceShop Jeju Volcanic Face Wash because my skin feels and looks great after using that. The texture of my skin looks healthy and I do not face much of the congestion on my skin. Whereas, even being a good cleanser, the Garnier Facewash didn’t have any control over the clogged pores or the texture of the skin.
I understand the product doesn’t even claims for that. If I go for the claims that are, Instant Whitening, that is simply not going to happen as whitening is a dangerous chemical process and we are the 2020s now, we don’t run behind whitening claims.
I personally, having an acne-prone skin and living in a polluted city prefer cleansers which not only cleans but also targets pores and pimples caused by dirt and pollution and gives healthy skin in the long run. I hope I am able to make a point here. 😅
Conclusion
Garnier Duo Action Facewash cleanses the skin very well leaving it clean and free from all the dirt and excess oil. It didn’t cause any allergic reactions or breakouts. It is a good everyday cleanser for Oily Skin to free your skin from the dirt and oil but not a targeted cleanser for your clogged pores or texture of your skin. If you have acne and clogged pores and you are looking for a targeted one, this is not for you.
