The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam Review

Recently, I was planning to give The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Makeup Remover a try. I looked for it on Nykaa and saw there were a lot of “The Face Shop” Combos. Though the one which I wanted with all three products from the Rice Water Range including the most loved, Rice Bran All in 1 Cleanser was out of stock.

I went ahead and ordered this combo having The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam, Lip and Eye Makeup Remover, and the Smart Peeling Mild Papaya. In today’s post, I am going to share my experience on “The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam/Face Wash”.

Review – The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam

My Skin Type: Normal to Combination, Sensitive and Acne-Prone Skin

Packaging: It comes with a squeezable plastic tube with a flip flop cap having a nozzle that controls the flow. All the Face Shop Foaming Cleansers come in this standard big tube packaging. All the information is in Korean but also, translated into English including Ingredients. The packaging is travel-friendly as well, as the cap is tight enough for keeping the product secure and leakage-free.

Fragrance: It has some mild fresh farm-y, grainy kind of fragrance which doesn’t feel heavy or Irritating. The same fragrance is in the Makeup Remover as well.

My Experience

It claims to be a deep-foaming cleanser with brightening properties and it is no doubt, 101% true to the claims. It is a deep cleanser, it is a foaming cleanser, and it definitely, instantly brightens up post washing. As my skin type keeps swinging between Normal to Oily, I love slightly deep cleansers.

I love how effectively this face wash deep cleanses my skin taking out all the dullness, pollution, minor makeup traces, excess oil, and dirt like a magnet leaving my face feeling fresh and refreshed. It actually gives that squeaky clean kind of feeling. Usually, deep cleansers tend to leave skin a bit stretchy and dry but with this, I didn’t face such an issue. Neither it leaves any soapy layer post washing. Sometimes I don’t even apply the moisturizer to just let my skin breathe and feel fresh and even then, I didn’t face any dryness that too in these winter days. Maybe because I belong to Combination to Oily Skin Squad, I don’t feel much dryness but for super dry skin, this might be drying. 

It also leaves a kind of freshness on my face which stays for hours. Whenever I wash my face after coming from traveling, I instantly feel relaxed and fresh. If you have oily skin and go through a lot of excess oil, dullness, sweat, and pollution, you are going to love this. 

Talking about the brightness, It definitely brightens up the skin instantly from the first wash. You will be able to notice that effect. Initially, I felt this brightening effect is temporary and stayed for a short period but after using it day and night for weeks, I noticed that it has actually brightened up my face. I think if you face tanning issues or dullness, you are going to like it. 

It also claims to remove traces of makeup and it actually does. Even after removing my makeup from a makeup remover, I always notice there are some traces left on some spots and around my eyes and this cleanser actually takes away those slight makeup traces even from around the eyes. If you will ask me if it stings in the eyes, I will say it stings just like a normal face wash or cleanser does.
