Actium Plus Hyaluronic Acid Serum Hydrapure B5 Review

Actium Plus Hyaluronic Acid serum was suggested to me by my Dermat when I went for my Laser Hair Reduction session. She noticed the dehydration I had due to eczema and recommended me to include a Hyaluronic Acid in my skincare routine. To date, I only used Nykaa SkinRx Hyaluronic Serum which was quite good in my opinion. Nykaa Serums are a bit mild but they work well on sensitive skin.
I have been using Actium Plus Hydrapure Hyaluronic Acid Serum for a while now and I am all set to share my experience with you.

Review – Actium Plus Hyaluronic Acid Serum
My Skin Type: Used to be oily in summer but currently dry due to eczema. Sensitive, and acne-prone skin.

Packaging: It comes in a lightweight see-through glass bottle with a dropper pump. The outer packaging has all the required information including ingredients and expiry date.
Fragrance: It does have some strong flowery fragrance which feels a little perfume-y sometimes.
My Experience
I had no idea this serum was this expensive. I got to know when they handed me the bill for all the prescriptions. Seeing the price, all I could think of is, this better be worth the money.
I started using the Actium Plus serum the same day before my moisturizer and continued using it daily, day and night. The dermatologist suggested I only use 1-2 drops as it is an intense one so I followed the same.
The texture felt light and was easily absorbed by my skin without leaving any stickiness behind. I followed this routine for over a month but couldn’t feel or see any noticeable difference.

As I moved forward with the Actium Plus Hydrapure Serum in my skincare routine, I noticed my skin was developing tiny bumps and both of my cheeks were full of clogged pores. At that point, I had my doubts about the Nutrova Collagen supplement as well because this serum and the collagen, both were prescribed to me on the same visit.
I stopped consuming collagen for a while to see if it was the serum but my skin didn’t get any better. I didn’t face any reactions but my pores sure got clogged up. After I stopped taking collagen, I could still spot those tiny bumps on my cheeks and realized it might be the serum that for some reason, wasn’t working for me.

I stopped using the serum for a while and luckily, my skin got back to normal. Later on, when my skin felt healed from the flare-up and the dryness was much improved, I decided to give the serum another try.
I noticed my skin having a decent glow with the regular usage, but other than that, I couldn’t notice a major change and unfortunately, I did get a few of the tiny bumps even on the second try.
I figured out that maybe for some reason, my skin was not accepting it and even though I could see slight improvements on the second try, I didn’t get that much of results. I feel my skin responded well to Nykaa Vitamin C serum or the Apsara Vitamin C serum.
I still use it once in a while because I do not want it to go to waste but I do not use it on a regular basis as my skin will end up developing tiny clogged pores.
Summing Up
Actium Plus Hyaluronic Acid Serum for some reason didn’t do much for me. I see no major results or improvements. It didn’t give me reactions but it did result in clogged pores. It was really expensive but unfortunately, I see no results.
