Since my acne-prone skin loved the Neutrogena Deep Clean Face Wash, I decided to go for Neutrogena Grapefruit Face Wash this time as my third bottle of the deep clean variant was about to get over. Neutrogena is a Brand that I feel has its own different classy vibes.

Now that my pump bottle of Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Facewash is almost 50% over, I thought why not share my experience on the blog as well?

Review – Neutrogena Grapefruit Face Wash

My Skin Type: Combination to Oily, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin

Packaging: Comes in a standard Neutrogena see-through Pump bottle. The pump is easy to use and mess-free.

Fragrance: Such a refreshing grapefruit fragrance. I love they have managed to limit to only refreshing and not overpowering citrus fragrances.

My Experience

Having sensitive skin you always think twice before experimenting with a product. Luckily, my recent purchases from Neutrogena have been serving me well.

I tried this cleanser by taking half a pump because one whole pump was way more than required. I started lathering it up between my hands and there was this beautiful blast of grapefruit fragrance. It formed a decent amount of foaming lather, slightly less than the deep clean variant.

Next, I gently washed my face in soft circular motions making sure to reach every corner of my face and then washing it off with water. While washing I sensed it is a bit milder than the deep clean variant. Not that it leaves any slippery layer or soapy residue behind, but is milder than the other one.

With regular usage, I definitely noticed the brightening properties. All the dullness due to sweat and pollution fades away with Neutrogena Grapefruit Facewash and it legit brightens up the skin. I loved how my skin looked awake and fresh post-washing.

Initially, I wasn’t able to comment on the brightening properties but after using it for such a long time, I am a fan of this face wash now. The way it just washes away all the routine and brings on the fresh clear brightened up skin, I love it.

Next, I had to see how it performed on active acne. After using it for months and giving it enough time to show its results, I realized that it does dry up the active cystic acne however, it works slower than the deep clean face wash.

If for some reason you feel that Neutrogena Deep Clean Face Wash was a strong choice for you, I am definitely sure you will find the Grapefruit Face Wash a better choice.

That being said I really liked how my skin felt post-wash. It washes away all the sweat, dirt, and oil and reveals fresh and oil-free skin which I, being an oily skin person always enjoy. It feels good to use this one right after my gym.

It doesn’t heal or remove the acne by its roots but for sure speed up the process. Once you pair it with salicylic acid serums and acne patches, it definitely helps to treat acne and pimples.

I feel the Grapefruit variant is a pretty exciting face wash and I am always excited to use that in my routine but if your concern is your acne and you are looking for a solution, I think you should go for the deep clean variant.

That being said I didn’t notice any allergies or breakouts with the Neutrogena Grapefruit variant.

Summing Up

Pink Grapefruit Face Wash from Neutrogena is a pretty interesting and exciting variant. I love its refreshing grapefruit fragrance and enjoy how it brightens up my skin. Removes all the sweat and dirt and reveals fresh and oil-free skin. It also works up on the existing acne by drying them out but is slower and milder as compared to Neutrogena Deep Clean Face Wash.

Pros

  • Lathers well
  • Refreshing fragrance
  • Brightens up the skin
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • Leaves skin fresh and oil-free

Cons

  • A bit mild than the deep clean variant
  • Not a targeted solution for acne

That was it for today. I hope you have found the review helpful.

Have a Good Day!
