Ever since I have joined the gym, my hair and scalp been facing a lot of sweat and dirt. That is when I thought to try out the Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo because I wanted to try a new shampoo and L’Oreal has my trust. My hair started to look greasy every other day and I needed a strong scalp cleanser.

Loreal Professional Instant Clear Shampoo caught my eye the moment I read the label “Instant Clear” and after going through some reviews at Nykaa, I made up my mind to try it out.

Review – Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo

My Hair Type – Oily Scalp and Dry Hair

Packaging: It comes in a color-themed squeezable opaque bottle with a flip-flop cap and a nozzle to dispense the product. The nozzle worked pretty fine initially and I really liked the flow but once the shampoo reached 50%, it was a bit tough to squeeze out the product.

Fragrance: It has a refreshing aqua and mint kind of fragrance and I enjoy the scent while giving my hair a cleanse with this shampoo.

My Experience

I was having pretty good hair days with my Biolage series of shampoo. Both smoothproof and scalppure did a great job delivering fantastic results. But after joining the gym, my hair and scalp felt so greasy and dirty almost on a daily basis that I thought I should get a slightly stronger one that can help me keep my hair fresh for longer days.

I started by taking a regular-sized amount onto my palm and lathering it well on my wet scalp and it actually did lather well. I enjoy a good foaming shampoo. I am honestly not much a fan of gentle and mild cleansers. Even though they are safe but I just happen to enjoy foaming ones.

After the first wash with Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo, I definitely felt my scalp and hair fresh and clean. It legit targetted my scalp and washed away all the sweat build-up and dirt. I remembered salon people used the same L’Oreal professional shampoo when I went for the scalp treatment.

I loved how my hair felt after the first wash. Clean, fresh, and lightweight. I do not have the dandruff problem so I can’t comment on that but it cleaned my scalp well no doubt.

I continued Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo for a month and what I noticed was, that my hair started to look and feel a little dry than before. I realized it is the L’Oreal Professional Instant Clear shampoo that is causing the dryness.

It definitely solved the purpose I bought it for but with continuous usage, it ended up making my hair dry. I always follow up with a good conditioner so that was no question.

I ultimately had to give Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo a break and I went back to my matrix Biolage series of shampoos. This time I went for the Advanced Fiberstrong range combo of shampoo and conditioner which is actually doing the job for me. It is keeping my scalp clean and also making my hair look bouncy, soft, and glossy.

I realized the Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo is something that I need to pair up with hair masks and serums in order to get the best results. That is why I always loved my hair when salon people performed a whole package on my hair.

I for sure loved the fact that Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo did what it claims that is cleaning the scalp well but it does end up leaving hair dry with continuous usage. I now use it once two weeks to give my scalp a thorough cleanse once in a while.

If you are someone with dry hair and a dry scalp, I won’t recommend this one. Instead, go for Biolage Repairinside and you will love it for your dry hair and scalp.

Loreal Instant Clear Shampoo is a powerful shampoo and it helped me keep my scalp clean after I joined the gym. It effectively removes all the sweat build-up and leaves hair and scalp fresh and clean. But, with the continuous usage, I noticed it is making my hair dry. I now use it once in two weeks for deep cleansing.
