I couldn’t resist and get myself Kay Beauty Lip Crayon Climax which I am going to review and share some swatches of along with the makeup look I created.

Review – Kay Beauty Lip Crayon Climax

Packaging: It comes as a sleek crayon with a twistable mechanism with a secure cap. Like it isn’t just a cap, I could actually hear the lock while closing the cap which is great because while traveling, it won’t lose it’s cap.

It has a color coated body with a very tiny shade name on it on the bottom side of the crayon. The outer packaging is a beautiful cardboard box with a shade name on the top and color coated area.

Fragrance: No fragrance as such.

My Experience…

The crayon tip makes it easy to define the lip first with the pointed side and then fill in the lips with the slanted side.

The moment I start applying, I could notice the smooth and butter-like glide. It glided onto my lips smoothly without being patchy. And, this feels light on the lips too.

Coming to the pigmentation, Kay Beauty Lip Crayon Climax is extremely pigmented. Just one glide and there is a rich color.

One thing I noticed that right after the application, there is a tingling sensation for one or two seconds no wonder why! But, there wasn’t any reaction or irritation so I am okay with it.

Coming to the texture and look, Kay Beauty lip crayon climax gives a demi-matte look to the lips. Even though it is matte, I didn’t find it too drying.

Now the main test, is whether it is transfer-proof and long-wearing, and unfortunately, no, it isn’t transfer-proof and long-wearing.

Though it doesn’t transfer like a creamy lipstick, it isn’t smudge-proof or transfer-proof either. Every time I ate, I could see the lipstick stain on the mugs, and later, the lipstick started to fade and was off from the center.

The longevity here directly depended on when I ate after applying lipstick. 😀

Turns out, Kay Beauty MATTinee Lip Crayon is a good everyday lipstick with great pigmentation but it isn’t the best for your parties or outings where you would be eating or will be wearing lipstick for longer hours.

Summing Up…

Kay Beauty MATTinee Lip Crayon in “Climax” is a good everyday lip color with rich pigmentation. It glides smoothly on the lips giving a demi-matte look. It is cruelty-free and paraben-free. But, it isn’t completely transfer-proof and long-wearing. It does transfer to the cups while drinking coffee or tea and fades away after eating the meals.
