Dr.Sheth’s Date and Quinoa Eye Cream Review
I am sure you all must have heard the name, Dr.Sheths’ – which is an Indian Brand and recently gained hype all over social media. My Instagram was loaded with positive reviews and I saw a lot of YouTubers talking about this brand and its products.
I seriously wanted to try their most loved product – Date and Quinoa Eye Cream. I have been using this cream since then and I have hit the pan I am all set to share my experience with you all.
What is unique about the Brand, Dr.Sheths’ is, they claim to formulate their products as per the Indian Skin and Indian Atmosphere. Indian Climate consists of harsh sun rays, dust, and pollution and as per the brand, their products are formulated keeping in mind what Indian Skin requires.
If anyone’s curious, all my beauty purchases are from Nykaa.
This was convincing enough for me to go and ahead and try this brand.
Next, I realize the brand is not at all affordable and falls into the expensive category.

My Personal Favourites
Niharika X NykaaUpdate (15th August 2023): The product seems to be discontinued as I no longer find it anywhere online. They have a new variant of eye cream called Chamomile and caffeine under eye cream which is available on Amazon and on drsheths.com.
Product Description
Unlike most eye creams, this has been formulated with superfoods date and quinoa seeds, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and niacinamide. These not only strengthen the thinner under-eye skin but also help in treating dark circles, fine lines, and puffiness.
- Paraben-Free
- Sulphate-Free
- Jain and Vegan
- Non-Toxic
Quinoa and date seed address multiple causes of under-eye circles – they diffuse the blood vessels and battle pigmentation to result in a clearer, brighter look. The hyaluronic acid and shea butter make sure the skin stays hydrated and is strengthened to battle the harsh effects of pollution.
Ingredients
I didn’t find the complete ingredient list. Neither on the website nor on the package. But there is a list of Key Ingredients on the packaging which are –
Date Seed Extracts (Brightening), Quinoa Seed Extracts (Calming), Hyaluronic Acid (Hydrating), Shea Butter.
Directions/ How to Use
Apply a thin layer around the eyes and massage.
Review – Dr.Sheth’s Date and Quinoa Eye Cream
My Skin Type – Combination to Oily, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin. I have dark circles by birth and the skin around my eyes is extremely delicate and sensitive.
Packaging: It comes with a small round glass tub with a screw lid. The packaging is safe enough to carry around while traveling.
Fragrance: It has a mild fragrance with a slight hint of milky fragrance to it. Not at all irritating or bothering.
My Experience
First thing first, the quantity is really less than the price. Within a week or two I hit the pan even after using the product in a decent manner.
Talking about the texture and consistency, It was really one of the best textures I have ever seen in an eye cream. It is soft and smooth on the skin. It is not heavy or sticky and feels light under the eyes. The soft texture makes it easy to apply and massage without making the under-eye area heavy.
Next, what I noticed was it didn’t cause any irritation to my eyes. It didn’t make my eyes watery and there was no sweaty feeling as well. It worked really great under makeup as well.
It provided nourishment to my eye area as well. I didn’t feel any dryness or itch after using the product and with regular use, I could see the skin under my eyes was soft and smooth to the touch.

I continued using it and yes, there was a slight reduction in the darkness around my eyes. Also, it provided Instant brightness after application.
But all this effect faded away really quickly. The day I had a lot of screen work and my eyes were constantly on the screen, my dark circles were back in the picture. I continued using it to see if it works on fine lines but I didn’t see any result.
Considering the fact, that I have dark circles by birth, I know they will be never out of the picture but with the good eye creams, I have seen improvement in them. On the days when I didn’t get a proper diet or proper sleep, my dark circles were back there no matter what eye I cream to use.
I realized that the results I got from this under-eye cream were similar to Himalaya Under Eye Cream. Both creams are effective, light on the skin, and work on dark circles on some level, but If I talk about the price factor, then I am surely going for Himalaya under eye cream as I got similar results. If you are not considering the price factor, then you can surely give this a go.
Also, I have realized that no matter how well-formulated an eye cream is, it won’t work if our diet, sleep, and lifestyle are not in control. But they can definitely help with taking care of the skin around our eyes.
Summing Up
Dr.Sheths’ Date and Quinoa Eye Cream is a good effective and nourishing eye cream. It makes the eye area smooth and also reduces the darkness around the eyes a little. It adds an instant layer of brightness as well. But all the results fade away when I had a lot of screen work or when my diet and lifestyle weren’t good. Also, I didn’t notice any results on fine lines. The results are good but similar to other affordable options.
