Review – SUGAR Cosmetics Mettle Satin Lipsticks

Packaging: It comes in a beautiful rose gold glassy luxurious packaging which is their default packaging for the mettle range. Each lipstick itself comes in a cardboard box beautifully packed with a traditional thread-lock kind of thing. Sorry, I don’t know exactly what’s this kind of lock called. 😀
The lipstick cap is secure and tight. The twistable bullet rolls out smoothly without creating any mess. Overall, I really liked the packaging.
Is there any Fragrance?
Nope! There isn’t any fragrance at all and it is actually their USP. So if you happen to not like fragrance in your lipsticks, this range is for you. 💓

How is the Texture?
The moment I twisted the lipstick, that unique beautiful velvet texture attracted me in the first place. I have never ever seen this velvet texture in lipstick before. I really, really like how the bullet of the lipsticks looks. Luxurious and Velvety!
How is the Application?
Rich Pigmentation is the USP of SUGAR Satin Mettle Lipsticks and it is 100% true. The moment I applied it to my lips I realized how rich the pigmentation is. It is highly pigmented and opaque which also helps in concealing the unevenness on the lips if any.
How SUGAR Mettle Satin Lipsticks feels on the Lips?
Comfortable Matte! I always moisturize my lips with a lip balm first but to simply try this lipstick, I directly applied without moisturizing my lips first and they felt really comfortable on the lips. It is matte, but up to a comfort level which we term as semi or demi-matte.

Do these lipsticks make lips Dry?
I didn’t feel so. I keep my lips moisturized not from the outside but also from the inside by drinking enough water and keeping my hydrated so I usually don’t find lipsticks drying. So from my experience, I didn’t find them drying. 💓
Are SUGAR Mettle Satin Lipsticks Longlasting?
Well, they have good lasting power as compared to regular creamy bullet lipstick but the color was fading gradually and the color was off a bit from the center of the lips after a meal, but, it wasn’t completely off from the lips even after hours. Re-application might be required depending on the needs. So, they aren’t that long-lasting but staying power isn’t bad too.
Are SUGAR Cosmetics Mettle Satin Lipsticks Transfer-proof and Smudge-Proof?
Yes, for sure! These lipsticks don’t get transferred easily. I tried kissing my hand and there was no transfer so yes, they are transfer-proof. These lipsticks also don’t get smudged easily. They don’t get spread here and there around the lips so it is a plus point.
