My Personal Favourites
Niharika X NykaaMaybelline Fit Me Loose Powder Shades
In India, it is launched in 4 Shades I guess but I have seen on YouTube that in foreign markets, it is definitely in lots of shades including a good range of medium to deep and from cool to warm undertones.

Usually, selecting shades online is a tough job but with this, it was quite easy. While searching for Maybelline fit me loose powder review, I saw Malvika talking on her channel that the shade Light/Medium is a bit dark so it was definitely, Light for me. Also, this light shade is a perfect match for my skin. It is in the beige shade with a peachy tint to it which will suit all the neutral to beige skin tones.

Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder Review
My Skin Type: Light/Beige with Neutral to Pink Undertones. Combination to Oily, Sensitive and Acne-Prone Skin.
Packaging: It directly comes in a Plastic Box secured with a twist-and-lock kind of lid. It is also being compared to Huda Beauty Baking Powder and seriously these two look the same. I was surprised as it doesn’t have any outer box or something but It came in perfectly fine without any damage or mess.

Usually, with loose powders, it is a thing that you will open the lid the powder will be everywhere. But, the packaging of this fit-me loose powder is so smart, that it won’t spill up in any case. It has a high neck where the powder is collected so even if you take a lot or tilt the product upside down, there won’t be any spillage or wastage or mess. Love it!
The only thing is, it doesn’t come with an applicator so you will need to carry your powder brush or beauty blender with you if you are traveling with it. But that’s okay. I am happy with the brush and blender and most of the time, applicators don’t work the way you want.
My Experience with FitMe Loose Finishing Powder
1. Soft and Smooth Texture
When I first took some powder and rubbed it between my fingertips, it literally felt super soft. Then I tried a little by rubbing it onto my wrist and I definitely notice the difference in skin texture. The area where I applied the powder was looking so blurred and smooth. This took my excitement level to the next point.
Then, I applied the powder with a beauty blender under my eyes to set my concealer in place, and OMG! there was an instant difference. My under-eye area looked so smooth and even. And it was definitely soft to the touch. Loved it!

2. Application with a Powder Brush
I tried this with both, a powder brush and a beauty blender. With a brush, I took a tiny amount and dusted it all over my face, especially over my T-Zone area because it gets oily first. I also took some amount and patted over my under-eye area to set my concealer in place. And with the brush application, what I noticed was, it definitely, instantly smoothes and blurs the area giving a filtered kind of texture.
It gives a slightly matte look without drying. My under-eye area, no doubt, looked way more soft, smooth, and even-toned.

3. Application with a Beauty Blender
When I took some liberal amount with the help of the tip of the beauty blender and dabbed it under my eyes, it was magic. With a blender, it took more amount of powder and the application and the effect was more Intense, I will say.
My under-eye area looks filtered. It made those tiny pores and texture disappear. The area looked and felt soft and smooth. And I also applied the powder on my T-Zone area and on my smile lines with a beauty blender as well. With the beauty blender, the application was much better especially for under eyes and smile lines.
So what I do, when I am wearing foundation and concealer or simply I have enough time and I want a more filtered look, I use my beauty blender, otherwise, I will swirl the brush over my face and I am all set. That’s a quick process. Haha! In both cases, it sets the makeup pretty well. It is just with the blender it looks more smooth than with a brush.
4. Instantly Blurs and Smoothes the Skin Texture
The effect is instantly visible. When I applied the powder under my one eye, both eye areas looked totally different. The powdered area was much better, soft, smooth, and looked filtered. It instantly blurred the texture going on.
5. Sets Makeup in Place and Prevents Creasing for Good 6 Hours
I guess we all face the under-eye creasing the most. It is an unavoidable thing but we can delay it with loose powders. Of course, it instantly filters everything but what matters the most that for how long it will be like this. And I will say all the effects it has, be it preventing creasing or excess shine or oil, it will be for max 6 hours only which is pretty good. After 6 hours or so, I noticed shine and oil on my nose and my under-eye creasing was there.
6. Prevents Excess Oil and Shine for 6 Hours
As I mentioned above, the effect lasts long for 6 hours. I have combination skin and my T-Zone area gets oily first, especially around the nose and this fit me shine-free loose powder controlled the shine and greasiness for almost 6 hours which isn’t bad. For an event or party, 6 hours is good I guess.
7. Doesn’t Dries up My Skin
I hate it when I feel stretchy or dryness on my face after makeup. I want my skin to feel healthy and look nourished after makeup. I love that Illuminating and hydrated kind of look. Yes, I have an oily T-zone and I want to avoid that but I don’t want to feel or look dry at all. This loose powder gave me that hint of a matte look and controlled the excess oil without making my skin feel dry. That is just so awesome.
If you have an extreme level of dryness or dry lines around the cheeks, make sure you are not going overboard with this as this might make dry skin look more matte and dry in my opinion. Just dusting and swirling your Face/T-Zone/Under Eye Concealer with a big poofy powder brush will do the job of setting your makeup in place.
I myself sometimes feel dryness around my cheeks and I avoid using powder there. I only dust some powder under my eyes to set the concealer in and over my T-Zone area only to control the oil. Later, I spray my FACES Makeup Fixer all over the face to set my makeup and I am loving that makeup fixer as of now. It is a hydrating one and It doesn’t make me feel or look dry at all.
Is there any coverage?
It has a tint. Or I will say it has the pigmentation. But there wasn’t any coverage. Whatever the pigmentation it has, it was helping in the evening out and blurs the skin. And it itself claims that it has a translucent kind of coverage which was quite true.
Any Flashback?
Nope! And I also believe that the reason for this could be also that it matches my skin tone. It isn’t too bright for me. Neither it is extremely yellow or white like Banana or Translucent Powder. It has that perfect beige tone with a peachy tint to it that matches my skin and helps in setting my makeup, blurring the texture, and evening out my skin without being too excessive.
I tried it with just Moisturizer
It says it can be worn alone so I tried it over my moisturizer and concealer and it worked quite well. There wasn’t any coverage or I will say very sheer coverage but the pigmentation it has evened out the skin making it slightly better. So yes, it definitely can be worn alone for an even and smooth look.
Can you bake your makeup with this?
Of course, you can. Take a good amount and place it under your eyes or smile lines, let it sit for seconds or a minute, and dust it off. And you are done. I personally don’t do baking as I feel it might make my skin look dry. Rest is a personal choice.
Also, if you have dry skin and you are using loose powder to bake your makeup, make sure you are not keeping the powder on for too long. Just keep it for a few seconds and dust it off. Sometimes I feel like it all depends on our mood. Sometimes we are in a hurry and brush it all and sometimes we set and dab and bake and whatnot.
Any Skin Irritation or Breakouts? Nope!
Yay! No Breakouts. Having Sensitive and Acne-Prone skin is so challenging and it feels so happy when a product works for you. I tried all possible ways such as wearing it alone or over makeup for continuous 2-3 days and there wasn’t any skin irritation or itching or a pimple. Everything worked out smoothly. 😃
Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder Swatches – Shade 15 Light

As you can see in the hand swatches there is hardly any noticeable coverage but the area looks quite settled down, blurred, and soft. And to show the effect a little more, here I am attaching my picture where I set my makeup, especially under the eyes, around the nose, cheek area, and on the T-Zone with the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder in the Shade “Light”.
Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder vs. FACES Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder
First of all, both are finishing powders and both are mineral-based powders. FACES Loose Powder is loved by everyone and I loved that too. Both are quite the same but the Fit Me one is 20gm for Rs.695/- whereas the FACES one is only 7gm for Rs.799/-. Isn’t it a huge difference? FACES one comes with an applicator but still, you will need a brush. Even the packaging-wise, the Maybelline one is better. You can go for anyone, but because Maybelline is cost-effective, has better packaging, and both Maybelline and FACES loose powders are quite the same, I will recommend you to go for Maybelline one.
Summing Up
Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder is a fabulous and cost-effective loose finishing/setting powder. The packaging is super smart and there won’t be any mess or wastage. The texture is super soft and smooth and Instantly blurs the skin texture giving a smooth, even, and filtered look without any flashback. Gives a slight matte effect without drying my skin.
