But I was looking for a Best Drugstore Foundation for Combination Skin with Natural Finish and after using this FACES Canada Second Skin Foundation, I can say I found what I was looking for.

If you are wondering whether I tried Maybelline FitMe, the cult favorite foundation, let me tell you, yes I did. No doubt it is a great foundation with a lightweight formula that gives flawless coverage and doesn’t look cakey. But somewhere, its semi-matte formula was highlighting some of my dry patches even though I am a combination to oily skin person. I realized that FitMe works best when you are an extremely oily skin person with no sign of dryness.

My Skin Type: Light to Medium with Neutral/Pink Undertones. Sensitive, Combination to Oily, and Acne-Prone Skin.

Packaging: It comes with a long glass bottle with a frosty look having a dropper-pump cap. It is a revamped packaging as mentioned by the store assistant, The packaging was changed because the previous one used to leak. Though I didn’t carry it in my handbag, I guess it will be mess-free.

Fragrance: I am unable to explain the fragrance in words but I can say, it is good. 😃 Nothing too strong or bothering.

Texture/Consistency: Runny

My Experience

Best to date I have ever tried. I once swatched this in a store and I found it pretty good but because it is a costly one, I didn’t want to spend my money without doing any research. I myself looked for reviews through Blogs and YouTube videos and when Shivangi (The DayDream Project) included this in her top 6 favorite foundation videos and what she mentioned about this FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation, I felt like this is what I am looking for. 

I went to the NewU Store, tested it again, swatched on my jaw area to find the shade, and decided to go for it and I am happy that I made the right decision. 

It is a runny foundation that comes with a dropper and even a tiny dot-sized amount of it covers the whole cheek area so I am guessing this is going to last me really long. Coming to application and blendability, it is amazing. I either use a flat-top foundation brush or my PAC Beauty Blender to blend the foundation and it gets blended flawlessly without leaving any strikes, patches, or getting collected in one place. 

It gives medium coverage with a natural finish without being dry or heavy on the skin. It doesn’t make any fine dry lines pop but in case you have flaky skin, no foundation can make it look better. Slight unevenness or minor spots can be easily covered with this foundation. I pair this foundation with my Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer in shade Light/Medium followed by a loose powder that works best for me.

It can be easily layered with further cream or powder-based makeup products such as Contour, Blush, and highlighter. It lasts for a good 6 hours approx. I will say. I don’t think so I have worn makeup for more than 6-7 hours. 😃

Because I have an oily T-Zone Area esp the nose, after 5 hours or so, the oil starts peeping through around the nose even setting with a loose powder. 

Also, I didn’t face any flashbacks, breakouts, or oxidization issues. Phew!

Blends flawlessly without being dry or heavy on the skin. Last for 6 hours approx. Doesn’t look cakey and doesn’t have any flashbacks, breakouts, or oxidation issues.
