Lakme recently launched it’s Argan Oil Range (Skincare and Makeup) from which, I have already shared my views on their Argan Oil Foundation. Today’s post is all about my views on Lakme Argan Oil Radiance Oil-in-Creme with SPF 30 PA++ which is from their skincare range. 😃 Let’s move on to details.

REVIEW

Packaging: Comes in a luxurious looking tub jar with a gold-polish kind of look covered with a screw cap. The jar has a double layer of packaging. The inner one is of gold polish while the outer one is transparent and is of plastic kind of material but doesn’t it looks like a glass?! 😄 It is travel-friendly and there won’t be any leakage. 

Color and Consistency: Creme is white in color with a hint of gold in it. Consistency is super soft and lightweight. 

Fragrance: It has a very mild pleasing kind of fragrance like of luxurious oils. Not at all bothering.

My Experience

100% True to Its Claims

It claims to be a nourishing and radiance cream and mark my words it is 100% true to it. I used it in my daytime and also while going to the nearby market in the evening and it gives me radiance like “Oh My God!“

Gives a Noticeable Radiance

I can clearly notice my skin glowing and giving a soft, radiant, and luxurious look. It really made my skin soft and smooth to touch. I didn’t even felt the need to apply any foundation or compact. I can call this a makeup cream.

Lightweight and Nourishing

It is super lightweight and soft on skin and blends on the skin within seconds. I didn’t have to rub or massage very much to make my skin absorb it. Also, it is nourishing. My skin gets dry in winters and my Mommy has dry skin too and we both felt that it is nourishing and leaves no sign of dryness. Neither it makes skin dry, nor oily. 

Temporary Effects Only

But, it has temporary effects only. Like whatever the glow and radiance there was, it was off when I washed my face. Even after many days of using this, I didn’t see any permanent or long-term effect on the skin. It is just like a makeup cream which you can use for a radiant look with added sun protection.

Covers Minor Imperfection

Along with radiance, it also covers minor imperfections. Not something like a concealer or foundation. But there was something which I can say that yes it covered minor flaws. It made the under-eye skin look healthier and youthful. My facial skin was looking more healthy and full of energy. 😃 It totally takes away the dullness.

Not for Acne-Prone Skin

The Sad part is, it gave me breakout. Reason can be anything. Either my sensitive and acne-prone skin didn’t accept this or because this is a targeted cream for nourishment and radiance and not for major skincare concerns. We need a lot of things in our moisturizer to make it work for our acne-prone skin.

Not a Multi-Functional cream

It is not a deep skincare cream and not meant to heal or fight any marks or lines on the skin. It is radiance cream and it exactly does what it is meant for. There is a chance that in extreme summers and humid seasons this may result is sweaty skin if you get super oily skin in summer. 

💁 In short, it is a daily use soft and lightweight day cream with SPF which gives noticeable radiance and won’t need anything on top of it. It is nourishing and doesn’t make skin dry or oily. But not for sensitive and acne-prone skin.
