Review – Original Healing Bark Facial Mask

My Skin Type: Combination to Oily in Summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin.

Packaging: It comes in a simple cute jar with a theme-based label having all the information, with a screw lid securing the powder. Easy to store and travel with.

Fragrance: Once mixed with water, it has a very earthy kind of fragrance on a very mild scale.

My Experience

I start by taking a teaspoon of Healing Bark Powder provided in the kit and mixing the required amount of water to form the paste. The spoon which is numbered 5 and a bit of 2.5 works best for me.

Before I move on further, yes, the complete kit consists of a mixing bowl, a lid, an applicator, and a set of 3 spoons. The lid can actually hold your messy spoons which is a really smart concept.

I made the paste in the bowl provided with the help of the applicator and let me tell you, mixing the powder with water wasn’t easy. It took time and patience. After carefully and slowly mixing both, a nice consistency of the paste was ready. Good things take time.

I applied the formed paste with the help of the applicator to my clean face and allowed it to dry. While it was drying, I noticed the water from the applied mask was dripping. I thought I might have added more water than required but nope, a few droplets were always there on my tee.

The mask felt comfortable while it was drying. It didn’t make my skin like a solid rock or something. OMG, I just remembered my experience with Aztec Healing Clay. You know what I am talking about.

I allowed it to dry for about 20 to 25 minutes and headed for the shower. Let me tell you, I was mentally prepared to rub and take the mask off. Do you know how time-consuming taking off a mask can be? To make sure it is washed off with no particles left? The moment I splashed water onto my face, it was off! I was like, wait, what just happened?! It is off my face already?

Healing Bark Face Mask is the easiest facial mask to wash off. A few splashes of water and it’s gone. I was genuinely impressed at this point.

While washing off, I felt my skin completely clean and fresh. If you are an oily skin person you know that feeling when you wash your face with a really good cleanser and your skin is completely clean and free from all that oil and grease. That is how I felt immediately after washing the Healing Bark Face Mask. My skin felt FRESH. Not drying, not stretchy, but clean and fresh. My pores felt clean after the mask.

The next thing I noticed was that there was a definite noticeable brightness and freshness on my face. Don’t laugh, but I stared at myself in the mirror for a while that much how I loved the after results and that was only after the first use.

I came out of the shower and moisturized my skin with my all-time favorite Aveeno Moisturizer. My mother saw me the next moment and she legit said “Wow’. Although that brightening effect lasted for a short period of time I enjoyed it.

I had really high expectations from Healing Bark Face Mask and it nailed it. I knew if something comes from nature, is pure, and used for centuries, it is going to be gold.

I use it twice a week and my skin looks good. It looks healthy. I didn’t face any rash or breakout. I did have active acne and it didn’t irritate it further. In fact, it is healing now.

Healing Bark has a soothing and calming vibe to it. It calmed the active acne taking away the pain and irritation. Summers are almost here and red rashes are common for me on peak summer days, I think Healing Bark Face Mask is going to do wonders because of its healing and soothing properties.

Healing Bark Face Mask worked for my sensitive skin. In fact, my skin loved it. From the preparation to application to washing off, I loved the whole experience. I loved the results.
