We all love the process of putting on makeup but it is equally important to take it off. I saw FACES Canada Makeup Remover Wipes on my recent visit to a store and I decided to give it a try. Faces Canada is a decent brand and its product are something you can easily put your trust into.

My Skin Type: Normal to Combination, Sensitive and Acne-Prone Skin

Packaging: It comes in a standard facial wipes packaging. The good thing is the lid can be locked again after pulling out the wipe. All the details were mentioned on the packaging and are also travel-friendly.

Fragrance: These wipes smell really mild and beautiful. Like something mildly refreshing. This makes the makeup removal process easier.

My Experience

Best Makeup Removing Wipes Ever! If you are following me on my Instagram then you must have seen my story mentioning how great these wipes are. The wipes don’t feel dry at all and work as a magnet in the process of taking off the makeup.

I was wearing a good heavy amount of makeup along with good eye makeup and it took off everything. To test it out even better, I used FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation, followed with my complete makeup, set it with my FACES Lose Powder and FACES Makeup Fixer, wore it for the whole day, and then used these FACES Canada Makeup Remover Wipes and I was Impressed. I don’t feel any need to rub hard to take my makeup off. I love how it melts and removes everything. It definitely passed the test.

Coming to the claim of taking waterproof makeup off, I will say it worked on everything except on Maybelline Lash Sensation Waterproof Mascara. It took off the FACES Long Wearing Foundation. It took off the SUGAR Cosmetics Uptown Curl Waterproof Mascara, but it didn’t do anything on the Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara (the waterproof one). That mascara is rock anyway!

Now if I talk about taking off the matte liquid lipsticks, it takes some time and effort to take off most of the lipstick. I won’t say it completely removed matte liquid lipstick easily. To be honest, in my experience, no makeup remover ever completely removed matte liquid lipsticks from lips. They always leave some pigment and stain on lips.

Apart from this, I didn’t find any skin reaction or anything. It did very well on my sensitive and acne-prone skin and didn’t cause any breakout. I am totally happy and satisfied. Also, most of the makeup removal wipes or facial wipes, in general, tend to get dry after opening. But this one is still soaked in makeup remover even after months. I am so happy that I invested in a quality product.

Recently, I am loving only two products when it comes to taking off makeup. One is this FACES Canada Makeup Remover Wipes and the Second is the Bioderma Micellar Water. I consider Wipes travel-friendly, handy, and great when wearing a full face of heavy makeup while I go for Micellar Water when I am wearing Minimal Makeup and I know it won’t cause me lots and lots of cotton pads. 

Swatch Test

Here are some swatches of foundation, eyeshadows, liner, kajal, and liquid lipsticks. You will see how effectively it removed everything but left some liquid lipstick stains behind.
