I was in a mood to buy and try some new stuff for my skincare routine. Trying new beauty products refreshes my mood. While scrolling through Nykaa for a good eye cream, Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel caught my attention. I went through some reviews and decided to go for it.
It is been over a month and my tub is almost about to over and I am all set to share my experience with L’Oreal Anti Ox Eye Gel here.

Review – L’Oreal Hydrafresh Anti-ox Grapeseed Hydrating Mask-in Eye Gel
My Skin Type: Combination to Oily during summers, Dry in Winters, Sensitive, and Acne-Prone Skin
Packaging: It comes a classy glass jar with Pink Tint on it and it really looks luxurious. The lid is a screw lid and keeps the product secure. The jar itself comes in an outer cardboard box.
Now the thing is, there is no price and expiry date mentioned plus everything is in Chinese and it also says Made in China. Why everything I ordered from Nykaa recently is Made in China? I really think there should be a disclaimer regarding manufacturing as I am trying to avoid everything Made in China.
Fragrance: It has some really nice wine kind of fragrance. You know that grape wine kind of aroma? Exactly!
As I mentioned, the first thing I noticed after receiving Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel was that it says Made in China and everything on the box is in Chinese. The reason I am surprised is earlier, I used to get Made in US batch from Nykaa!
Now, why I am putting the focus here is that the Cosmetic Products that are Made in China have always been different than the other lots. Be it skincare or makeup. They are never that effective plus, they are always animal tested in Chinese Markets.
Moving ahead, I started using the Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel day and night. Now, I expect eye gels to be some sort of relaxing but this one, to my surprise, there was no instant soothing or relaxing effect.

I purposely bought Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel to soothe my tired eyes after screen work but it didn’t do a thing when it comes to soothing.
I even kept it in the fridge to see if it works differently but no, there was no difference.
The texture of the Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel is light which I like. It isn’t heavy and doesn’t make the eye area greasy or oily. It is really easy to apply and gets absorbed easily without leaving any stickiness behind.
Now, what I noticed was it leaves skin soft and smooth temporarily after the application. The skin felt really soft for hours after the application.
But, I didn’t notice any major results around my eyes after the regular usage. There was no change in fine lines or the texture.
I used it regularly day and night for a month and over but, sadly, there was no such noticeable major difference or any long-time results.
Loreal Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel doesn’t claim to work on the dark circles which is good, I mean, it is straight to the point right? that do not expect anything like that! Lol!

I can say that it kept the eye area slightly look and feel better as long as the I am using it regularly but you can get similar results with Himalaya Under Eye Cream too. I didn’t notice anything for which I can pay the 500 bucks.
L’Oreal Anti-Ox Eye Gel doesn’t work on dark circles, doesn’t provide any instant soothing to tired eyes, and doesn’t offer any effective long term results. Now I don’t know if it is because it is Made in China but it didn’t work anything exceptional for me.
A lot of reviews online said it worked for people and they noticed their eye area getting improved but to me, it didn’t work. At least nothing special for which I’ll pay this price. I can get the same results with an affordable Himalaya Eye Cream too.
The consistency and texture is no doubt light and goes well with makeup. It didn’t burn my eyes too so it is a plus point. But there wasn’t anything special which will make Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel a strict part of my skincare routine or will make me buy again.
Loreal Hydrafresh Anti Ox Grape Seed Hydrating Mask-In Eye Gel is a lightweight eye gel suitable for sensitive eyes as well. It gets easily absorbed without being heavy or sticky. It doesn’t make my eyes burn and keeps the eye area slightly soft. It kept the eye area slightly feel better but there wasn’t anything major. It doesn’t provide any soothing or relaxing effects. No results on dark circles or fine lines.
- Doesn’t burn in the eyes
- Keeps the eye area soft for hours
- Keeps the skin under eye slightly better as compared to no use of eye cream
- No results on dark circles and fine lines
- No instant soothing or relaxing properties for tired eyes
- No Long-term results
- Nothing Major Effective which makes it costly
- Made in China batch
