L’OREAL Purifying Clay Shampoo – Review | For Oily Scalp and Dry Ends |
I have been a huge fan of L’OREAL Total Repair 5 Range since my teenagehood. It is an awesome shampoo for oily hair which cleanses well and adds bounce and volume to the hair.
When L’OREAL launched this Extraordinary Clay Shampoo which is specifically designed for Oily Scalp and Dry Ends which gets oily the next day you wash your hair, I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did!
L’OREAL Purifying Clay Shampoo – Review | For Oily Scalp and Dry Ends |
Over the years, I tried a lot of shampoos because I love to try new products but nothing really made it to my heart and my hair used to get oily the next day I wash my hair but those ends, remained frizzy.
This L’OREAL Shampoo caught my attention with its TV add which said oil-free hair for 3 Days! It is an anti-oiliness, purifying, and hydrating shampoo meant for oily hair whose ends tends to get dry and frizzy.
People with Oily scalp or Oily Hair often go for strong clarifying shampoos to get rid of all the greasiness which also rips the moisture off from the ends.
This Clay Shampoo from L’OREAL is aptly designed to keep hair oil-free for 3-4 days without ripping the moisture off from the ends.
Too much of talking! Let us get into the review…

Fragrance: It has a fruity fragrance if you sniff it but while washing and lathering, all I feel is cool menthol.
My Experience: It worked! It claims for 3 days of freshness and yes, it is true to the claims. I only took that normal walnut size amount and it did its job. Believe me, my hair stayed oil -free for 3-4 days and started getting oily and greasy on the 4th day after the wash.

Usually, If I washed my hair today, the next morning my hair started getting sort of greasy and on 3rd and 4th day, it almost looks like I have oiled my hair. Literally!

So when after using this shampoo my hair and scalp stayed grease-free for 3 days, I was Impressed. It lathers well, cleanses well, and adds a bit of bounce and volume to the hair.
I love shampoos and face washes which provides a slight cooling sensation and this exactly does that. Not something which tingles or irritate, but that relaxing menthol cooling which just makes you feel good.
I also tested it when I oiled my hair. For the safer side and out of my habit, I always double wash my hair after oiling and I did the same with this L’OREAL Clay Shampoo as well but I can say for sure, that I felt my hair totally cleaned while washing only after the single wash. Definitely, a great shampoo for oily hair.
Coming to the dry hair ends, I did not get something frizzy and extremely dry hair after the wash. I won’t say my hair looked butter-liciously soft or something fancy, but yes there was no frizz, hair fall or roughness on the ends. Happy with the results. 😇
In short,
L’OREAL Paris Extraordinary Clay Purifying and Hydrating Shampoo do what it claims. It cleanses well and kept my hair oil-free for 3-4 days. Adds a bit of bounce and volume and causes no frizziness, hair fall or roughness on the ends. Perfect for Oily Scalp and Dry Ends.
